I've wondered this as well..are there Samsung stores around anywhere?Oh yeah for sure. But what about after 14 days? If my Note breaks what do I do? Ship it to Samsung and go without a phone for weeks?

There used to be but in Georgia I think they have all been closed.I've wondered this as well..are there Samsung stores around anywhere?
Not sure... I pre-ordered on Samsungs main site and am getting the Gear VR bonus too so was in that first batch for early delivery, but checking the tracker it still hasn't processed or anything... Don't think it's coming tomorrow!!!!
All the items are now 'in stock' on the order page though.
Based on my past dealings with Samsung CS, I pray to never have to go thru it again! No problem.
I don't mean to drag iPhone into this but what do you do when something like this happens after your return period? I know what I would do with an iPhone. Not so sure about a Samsung.

Question: If I do an exchange, what happens to my Samsung promotion claim? Would I still be able to receive it?

I'm under my 14 days so I believe I can exchange it at the store.
Huge issue and one that also factored into my Note 7 return.
I can make an appt at Apple online and be out the door with a loaner in minutes if I have an issue.
Having a physical store contact is a huge deal.
Hmm, I got approved for the memory card but no shipment info yet, that was a week ago. I never got an approval email for the fit gear I got on the 2nd phone. Anyone elses taking this long? Should I be worried?
One thing I really like with TMobile is JOD ( jump on demand )
I almost never keep a device for more than a year, and don't have the patience or time to deal with selling it on somewhere like Craigslist etc..
Also, I can upgrade 3x a year without any restrictions so works really well for me. If I don't like a particular device I can walk in anytime after getting it and change w/o any restocking fee or penalty.
I also don't pay any down payment and taxes upfront
Downside is I'm renting vs owning, but that's alright with me.
That downpayment and tax upfront is for people who do not have JOD. I paid $0 upfront, and it's $32.xx per month for me interest free for 18 months.I was tempted by this, but then I was told you have to put in a deposit that you don't get back with each phone. It was substantial, I believe the Note 7 was $100 or so, although the rep said they were waiving the deposit on the Note 7 for a little while. Plus you still have to pay the tax on the full price of the phone. So $150 plus just to change phones, I'm not sure I'm down with that.

I just joined JOD coming from the original Jump. Got tired of having to pay a certain amount before I could switch. So now I can keep upgrading every six months or sooner without worrying about is the upgrade worth it. And now I can take the phone back in store instead of sending it back.
Technically it's a lease, but potentially lease-to-own since all of your payments can go towards eventual purchase of the device if you so choose.Downside is I'm renting vs owning, but that's alright with me.
That is bad news..... The only reason I Left Verizon was for T-Mobile's JoD. If they get rid of that I might have to go back to VZW because they have better coverage.2 things.
1. T mobile rep told me yesterday that JOD was being phased out and new customers could no longer get it.
2. Performance today hasn't been great. I haven't done anything differently so I'm surprised
You know you get different answers depending on the day of the week and the person that you get. But that is what I was told. Maybe you can still try to get it.That is bad news..... Really? When did it start happening? It wasn't doing this last week, just started today.I had the same problem with the S7 Edge where Android OS and Android System were out of control and no fixes were available.

Also, that deposit or downpayment is applied towards the device.
Still 'remaining to be shipped'Ahh interesting.
Although normally with my experience of express deliveries, you get all the notifications on the day, so it may be that you wake up tomorrow and find that it's out for delivery.
I hope you get it tomorrow, I'd love to hear some thoughts! Plus us UK'ers need some excitement!![]()
I've been checking accessories out this evening.
Think I am gonna pick up a memory card, screen protector and a clear official case. Not into these folding cases at all, but like the idea of protecting this device just because of all I've read and how shiny it is!
Good luck tomorrow let us know if it comes!![]()
Well I wasn't being completely serious, and I'm glad sms works for you. I don't always give out my number out to text someone. So I like that about BBM or Messenger. And for me THE BIGGEST advantage is being able to message when I don't have signal because I'd still have WiFi in those places. This is totally the case at work.
So today I noticed my battery running down fairly quickly. I checked my battery statistics and "android os" was at the top. Does anyone know what this is? It also seems to have sent out a ton of data today.

The optimization also mentioned antutu and put that app to sleep, but I didn't see it in the battery Usage statistics.
