The phone itself looks pretty solid. Decent design, it's plastic but so what? That didn't seem to be an issue for GS3 sales. Good specs. They obviously played it safe. No doubts it will sell well but I think many might feel disappointed but the relatively minor exterior update. I like that the back is flatter personally. Essentially this is the GS3s

2360mah v 2600mah not a huge difference, about 9% total.

But 1.8ghz and more powerful gpu v 1.7ghz cpu and slightly less powerful gpu could make that 9% battery capacity result in very little difference in every day usage.

The four cortex a7 companion cores actually will make the s4's battery a lot better than the ones.

Time, because it rules EVERYTHING!
Their are some hands on videos from the event on You Tube already! Anyway one cool feature they seemed to not mention in the nightmare launch event, was that the phone has the full Galaxy camera interface! Now that's pretty cool, maybe a bit wasted on a smartphone camera? Not sure but I think it's a cool thing.
Oh and I should have said the screen 'should' be pretty good, and I also think the S4 will last a whole day max on that battery, it needs the Note 2's battery I think.

Apple will probably have 441ppi or so this year too
Samsung simply releases their phones earlier in the year

Whaaaaaaat?? Are you crazy?

Apple will stay with the same screen this year.

What do you smoke man? Haven't you learn anything from Apple in years?

Bunch of gimmicky features that will rarely get used... Apple can easily implement the same things if the company ever feels the needs to...

I think I'm developing a brain tumour.....

I'm going to have to switch off. I'll wait for the hands on.

Twitter is hating this presentation too.

If Apple does use IGZO screens this year, it will give them the ability to get close to the GS4's pixel density. But, Apple may choose to use the IGZO tech to increase battery life instead.....

Depends....... Was that test on the Snapdragon( probably the one the US market will get ) or the Exynos 5? If it is the Exynos 5, was the benchmark utilizing the A7 cores or the A15 cores? Was the software holding it back? Too many variables to tell right now....

According to the page Exynos 5 version.

Using an IGZO display I'll not give them increased ppi unless they change resolution regardless.

S view cover is pretty smart. They beat Apple to the punch on that one.

Until Apples wireless charging smartcover comes out ;)

I'm confused on what they meant by transparent display though. I really hope its not just a piece of plastic that lightens its opacity so you can see that small section of the screen...
