Latest Update in the UK got one nice fix - something which should have been implemented on day ... Night Clock on the edge doesn't turn on the whole screen - and if it is - brightness is down to 0 - so no more shiny bright sreen, just the letters of the clock visible .. now it makes finally sense again ...

Nice. No news on State-side updates yet. Still on 5.0.2 on T-Mo. Battery life has been meh so far (I've only had the thing about 5 days) - Its been up and down (never over 13hrs total with about 2h45 SOT but seeing other user's stats is encouraging :)

Some question to other users here -
1. Does anyone else have an issue with answering calls - for me, 2/3 calls I cant hear anything when I answer the phone and have to ring the person back (or they ring me back).

2. Samsung headphones cannot skip songs when you double click the call (not volume) button? I haven't tested with another pair yet, but I was shocked during my commute this morning that I couldn't skip songs like that .

3. More of a pet peeve, but every time I drop the phone in my pocket the volume increases (headphones), I have no idea why. I don't wear tight pants - I simply just slip the phone in my front pockets and the volume goes up a notch - very frustrating.

Edit - grammar :S

What screen mode are you guys using?

SETTINGS > DISPLAY > SCREEN MODE >

1) Adaptive Display
2) AMOLED Cinema
3) AMOLED photo
4) Basic

?

And why? What are the advantages/disadvantages?

Adaptive Display. This is the first Galaxy phone I had that Adaptive Display was the best choice.

I always used to use Basic. However on the edge it just makes the whole screen especially with auto brightness too dull so stuck with adaptive display.

So it has been 12 hours since I received the S6 edge (amazing how time flies, huh) and I thought I'd post my initial impressions. The S6 edge is sleek, sturdy and feels premium. The buttons are all placed in the right places and are easy to reach. I absolutely love the curved edges. I love swiping pages slowly just to look at the effect (when pages disappear in the edges). It's also useful when I want to quickly check the time and notifiications while the screen is off as well as when the edges light up with a specific color to indicate who is calling. The display is stunning and sharp. Camera is impeccable. Battery life is good. At around 3PM I had 29%, left it to charge to 88%. Been almost 7 hours and battery is at 61%. Also, it charges lightning fast, it's unbelievable. Performance has so far been very impressive. And that color, beautiful! Very happy with the S6 edge.

Saw this on my new feed today. I know its BGR but I really hope to see this phone this summer! C'Mon Samsung pull the trigger and release this phone!

Anyone up for a Galaxy S6 with a 5.5 inch screen!

Not with the current software, though to be honest, I wouldn't want this even if it was running stock Android as I am not a fan of the ergonomics of the existing S6 edge. And what does this mean for the Note line? I'm a little confused why you'd offer a larger version of the S6 with the new Note(s) right around the corner--unless this is basically the Note 'Edge.' I could see inclusion of a stylus as a difficult proposition with this design considering the tapered edges are right where the S-Pen has been traditionally stored--so this would be the larger sized options and for those that want a stylus, they can opt for the traditional Note.

The way I see it this could be the 5.5 sized phone but without a stylus. It could follow the change in design like the S6 with a unibody. Then Samsung could follow up with the Note 5 line with a removable battery and SD card.
Best of both worlds for them. Keep the Note line intact with the demands of its customer base. Yet release a phone that has the S6 edge design and features but with a larger 5.5 screen.

I agree, screen size is becoming less of a contrast these days. What you stated would be a very smart move.

I still haven't received it on mine but I'm wondering whether to update when I receive it or not. Performance is great and I'm worried the new update will bring bugs. Not experiencing any battery drain, memory leak, freezing, crashing, heating, etc. so maybe it's better I not update.

I got the update last week (T-Mobile USA) and its definitely buggier than it was before. The stuttering is the worst - mostly when app switching or chrome - chrome is unusable for the first 5-6 seconds after you open it.

Hard to describe but everything seems to take slightly longer than it used to.

Very frustrating.
