Seriously?? Thank you for letting me know.
Not a problem. I'd recommend a reset of you are upgrading. I'm still seeing high standby times but battery life has more or less been there same - can't get not than 2h 30in SOT (auto brightness but I manually turn it down to the lowest seeing in the evenings).

I easily get at least 4hrs of SOT. I recently got 3hrs and x minutes playing a game on full brightness. I even watched two full movies on full brightness from a full charge and had 16% left.

But if I try to browse for that long on full brightness, it probably won't make it. More like 2 1/2 hours. Browsing on full brightness drains my battery the fastest. I have no explanation as to why. It's not like I'm clicking links non-stop. Watching Youtube videos also drains battery much more quicker than watching Netflix.

SOT drain really depends on what you're doing. My experience is basically the same before and after the update.

Anyone know where the 'OK Google' settings is located? I know it's in the Google app but I can't find it.

Anyone noticed that the fingerprint recognition takes a longer and makes more mistakes now? (after the 5.1.1 update) I can't tell if its just me or it was always like this. It definitely takes longer when I compare it to Touch ID on the iPhone 6. When I first got the Edge I thought it was just as fast and just as good, but now its noticeably slower and gives more false readings.

Have you tried re-registering your finger prints just in case ?

Using stock keyboard and there's a weird bug (?) or perhaps a feature I don't know about? When I type, sometimes the last word gets copied and then inserted in a random place in the sentence I typed out. I don't know how to explain it but it's so weird when it happens.

Very strange is this new ? Did you get 5.1.1 in UAE and Do you recall if it did this prior to 5.1.1 ? That sounds like it could be very irritating. I never experienced this myself.

I've started noticing this issue only a few days ago. I don't remember it happening when I first got the device. Android 5.1.1 has been released here about a week ago and I have been checking ever since but my S6 edge did not receive the update yet. Do you have English UK for input language? I wonder if switching to English US helps.

Yeah English UK keyboard on mine and never noticed it.

What you could try is install Google keyboard and try it and see if it does same thing - if it doesn't go back to Samsung keyboard and see if it does. If it happens in Google keyboard then it's perhaps something else.

So I have installed Google keyboard when I said I would this morning, or I should say yesterday since it's already Thursday (almost 1 AM here). Anyway, I have been using it for the past 12 hours and have not experienced the issue I talked about earlier today. Therefore it seems the problem is with Samsung keyboard. I'm liking Google keyboard very much. Typing is very smooth and fast. I'll keep using it from now on. Thanks again MRU for suggesting this :)

Should I update?? I'm happy with the performance of my S6 edge but I think I would have to update sooner or later since it has already been downloaded right?

Update. Push come to shove and you don't like the update for some reason - then you can rollback by installing 5.0.2 firmware in Odin and you will stay official / not trip Knox. The reality is most users get better results after an update and it's general the minority of users who have issues, so the odds are very much stacked in your favour :)
