Every time I see the gold in pictures I want it. Every time I see it in videos I don't want it. Too shiny.

Must see it in person to tell. However I don't think anyone will have it in time...

Maybe the Samsung store?

I was finnaly able to play with one at best buy today, and wow its a nice handset. It feels really good in the hand, the screen is beautiful, it seemed fast and smooth during my time playing with it, and the camera was awesome, very fast to load and snap a picture. IWhile I was leaning towards the edge initially, after handling them I think I like the regular s6 better, it just felt better. Samsung has really stepped things up, can't wait to see what they do with the note 5.

I suspect you will see the demos before Friday. Do you set up the smartphones in the mobile dept?

I sometimes will put the demo phones up in my department. Gonna probably put the HTC One M9 up tomorrow. The Samsung rep actually does the demos for the Samsung area. Only time I put those out is if she asks me.

Btw dudes, you can preorder the VZW GS6 and GS6 Edge at some best buys. Black or white (32GBs, 64GBs, and 128GBs) You also get the free wireless charger, while supplies last of course. I had several customers in my store who preordered the VZW GS6 and Edge. Why some stores are doing it and some aren't...I have no idea.

Is it me or is anyone else a little upset only black and white are available at launch?

I want a blue gs6 or green edge

The best color combo would be a black sapphire gs6 with black front and green back or blue back.I wish they would mix match those colors.

yep...pre ordered at BB and my only choices were black and white. Those were the only display models they had out.

I went to Best Buy just now and my impressions are pretty much the same as everyone else's so I won't repeat it :p

I think I'm still sold on the Edge because it just looks that much better. The edges do feel sharpish (awkward) at first but guess it's something to get used to.

I'm still debating if I should order one though. 1000+ for a 128gb version is way too much *cries* I paid that much for my 6+ and I regret it so much.

McAfee bloatware is gonna be installed by default on the galaxy s6? really? mcafee?. Also assuming plainly this phone needs and antivirus by default....just sad.

I've read the device is full of bloatware which can't be uninstalled...mmmm

Pizza.de preinstalled by default? really? Minute 22:00

Dissappointed, i'm not willing to spend my money in such a device again.

I have a galaxy s3 and i know what i'm talking about....maybe time to go for an iphone 6 but the battery life, the screen sractches....man..........:(

No it does not need av, pure bloat

Yes it does, android phones needs antivirus that's why the galaxy s6 have installed the mcafee antivirus by default apparently...

Intel Security to Protect Galaxy S6 Smartphones
Anti-Malware Technology to be Pre-installed on Customers’ Devices Globally

Not only that, Mcaffee is one of the worst antivirus currently...sigh. More bloatware!

I've been using avast on my galaxy s3 for at least 2 years, it's a pain all that lag.

Personally I disagree and would not suggest using av

Pizza.de will be installed on German DBT country coded devices. Others with different CSC will not get it. Likewise this one is actually fully uninstallable as I have a German Note 4 and it's the same for it.

And NO. Android phones do not need Anti-Virus software. However those users who like to 'pirate' (sorry torrent) content directly on their devices or sideload stolen android Apps from dodgy third party stores may need the benefit of one.

Personally if it's on my device, it'll be the first thing I would disable....

----------

Mmm looks like I'm gonna have to try harder to justify that €499 spend.

The Note 4 will get the new Touchwiz UX as seen in the S6 with Android 5.1 in later part of Q2 2015

I know! for my country is gonna be even worst all that telcel bloatware...

I disagree as i stated Android phones NEED an antivirus, you can't event trust 100% Google play store.

'Google Play has more than one million apps and over 50 billion app downloads, but no one reviews what gets put into Google Play
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencet...uts-millions-risk-secret-keys-discovered.html
Also those android holes.....

The threat of complex hacks continues to expand as the world becomes even more connected as mobile devices become pervasive. From the “celebgate” attack that leaked photos of many popular celebrities, to mobile spyware, attacks on IoT devices, and the growth of mobile payments, the vulnerabilities to mobile devices and potential risks are greater than ever. According to a new report by McAfee Labs, mobile malware, which includes viruses, as well as malicious apps and URLs, increased by 14 percent during the fourth quarter of 2014. The report also found that the infection rate for mobile malware has increased significantly, with at least 8 percent of all systems reporting an infection since Q4 2013.

Wait if they don't need an antivirus why the galaxy have the Mcafee one preinstalled? only for fun? right?

I would guess mcaffee paid Samsung to include it

EXACTLY. The same reason it comes pre-installed on many OEM PC's despite windows 8.1 having a built in security. OEMs make a lot of money installing this rubbish. Oh and if you want a true opinion on Mcafee ask its creator who has utterly disowned it.

He even made a satirical YouTube video to publicly disown it and vent at the way it's turned out.

YouTube: video

Man that video is so low...:( but i still remember on 1994 before any avast or kasperkys, Mcafee was #1...those were the times, but now pretty much stay away from it.

Don't get me wrong guys but i feel samsung is playing a prostitute role here, everybody pays them to be included, Mcafee, Microsoft, pizza.de, Cell phone providers bloatware, man.

And i'm not an Apple fanboy either, I have owned the galaxy s when it was released then replaced it for the galaxy s3 and now i want to replace it but so far i don't see a worth option on neither side (apple nor samsung).

They ALL do this yes.......even Apple. I got the latest IOS update and got a new icon on my 6+. Got a new Apple Watch icon and software installed. I have no interest in a Apple Watch. I can't even uninstall the app even though i will never use it. Bloatware......

Yes you have a point with the Watch icon, however the bloatware stuff on a Samsung S6 is far more aggresive currently.

I mean Pizza.de?,HRS Hotels? Zalando? really? i know that's just for phones sold in Germany but come on! Can you imagine what i'm expecting for countries like Mexico (Telcel) for example? just lame.

First and foremost Samsung is a business. To them this is good financial choice. As long as users can uninstall third party ware (not just disable like Samsungs own) then it's not a big deal for users to remove it.

Pizza.de isn't the only app specific to German region, there's also a hotel app that's gets installed too. I've removed both on my Note 4 as soon as my device was setup.

oh yeah I get it. But they all do this LG Moto, HTC all the leading OEMs do this. Then the carriers here in the US install their junk too.:)

Ok but to be sincere i don't think the cell phone provider bloatware can be uninstalled, at least not for my country, Telcel is a very pretty aggresive company regarding that aspect, their bloatware can't be uninstalled on my galaxy s3 and personally i don't want to repeat the same mistake.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Has As Much Bloatware As Ever

Samsung made the following tweaks to its statement when I asked for a little clarification:

Simplicity is critical for usability and functionality, so Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge offer a refined and optimized user experience and the offering of core and preloaded apps has been streamlined. Some apps can be uninstalled while some can be disabled, and this varies by region and carrier. Further, 40% of the features and steps have been deleted compared to previous models.

So pretty much at this point i guess i'm safe assuming that the cell phone provider apps (bloatware) can't be uninstalled nor even disabled, again...as always.

Not saying Apple doesn't have some bloat but a watch icon is hardly the same as a bunch of 3rd party preinstalled apps. i know u can remove both either using jb or root but that whole Knox thing is discouraging.
