Ok but to be sincere i don't think the cell phone provider bloatware can be uninstalled, at least not for my country, Telcel is a very pretty aggresive company regarding that aspect, their bloatware can't be installed on my galaxy s3 and personally i don't want to repeat the same mistake.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Has As Much Bloatware As Ever
http://gizmodo.com/the-samsung-galaxy-s6-has-as-much-bloatware-as-ever-1693717539

Samsung made the following tweaks to its statement when I asked for a little clarification:

Simplicity is critical for usability and functionality, so Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge offer a refined and optimized user experience and the offering of core and preloaded apps has been streamlined. Some apps can be uninstalled while some can be disabled, and this varies by region and carrier. Further, 40% of the features and steps have been deleted compared to previous models.
But they can be disabled and not seen again. They won't show up in the app drawer as well.

Not saying Apple doesn't have some bloat but a watch icon is hardly the same as a bunch of 3rd party preinstalled apps. i know u can remove both either using jb or root but that whole Knox thing is discouraging.

Yes that's my point too, and you can loose warranty or brick the phone.

But they can be disabled and not seen again. They won't show up in the app drawer as well.

I pretty much doubt that cell phone bloatware can be uninstalled not even disabled...again this varies by region and carrier, but let's wait.

yeah we see what you're doing. From my experiences with my Note 4 all of it can be either disabled or removed. Either way it does not show up again in the app drawer.

This seems like a reasonable solution. At least the bloat isn't intrusive and realistically probably doesn't use much storage.

The problem is two fold, while most apps can disabled, some cant, and then there is also the background apps that MRU is talking about. I know it's no big deal to you as long as the phone runs well, I get that, but a phone will never run 100% smooth 100% of the time, so when it slows down, your left with a feeling "did it slow down because of a rogue app or because of the bloatware" and the feeling of "it's runs this well with the bloatware, imagine how fast it could be without". That's why people still complain, that and the asthetics, but that's more of a personal taste thing. It's like when people jailbreak or root and then something weird happens and they don't know if jailbreak or root was the cause but blame it anyway. Where as if it's not jailbroken or rooted then they know it's either something they did or a rogue app.

You are assuming my phone is going to slow down. That's an incorrect assumption. My note 4 has not slowed down. My N3 and S 5 did not slow down.

Yes, but you may be just lucky. Why lucky? I'm gonna quote samsung again:
Some apps can be uninstalled while some can be disabled, and this varies by region and carrier.

They are not saying all can either X or Y, some is the word.

Maybe your country and your carrier are not that intrusive like mine is.

Again:and this varies by region and carrier.

I'm not gonna buy a sg6 in order to prove that pretty much gonna wait for a YouTube video first but I'm sure it's gonna be the same old story pretty much.

If your saying you never, not once expierenced a frame skip or stutter on any platform, then either your extremely lucky, or don't notice. I've had a note 2, note 3, and now a note 4, I know very well how those phones performed. If you don't notice, then great for you, but I do and it's a nuisance.

At least it has gotten to the point where where it's more of a nitpick than a true problem, lollipop on my Note has done wonders, though it did hiccup badly yesterday. I decided to try completely stock touch wiz to see if that will prevent those stuttery moments. Uninstalled nova, Google messenger, calander, ketboard, nils, and tesla unread notifications and using Samsung stock apps, except for gmail. So far, so good.

Yeah all YouTube videos are accurate. I will get one and base my conclusions on first hand experience. Just like I did with the 16 phones I have had in the last year.
I have a Verizon branded Note 4. They are famous fur all the carrier bloat they install. Yet I was able to disable all out it. Again first hand experience. .

Wait a minute im not referring to a simple disable but pretty much a disable without the warning message: if you disable this system app your system can become unstable.

And by system app I'm referring here to carrier bloatware pretty much.

Are Carrie bloat system apps? I don't think so. Verizon installs their own messaging app. I disabled it. It does not affect my Note 4 all I did this with all the carrier bloat. No issues at at all. My note 4 is one of the fastest responsive phones I have had. It's right up there with the M8 and 6+..

Still debating if I should pre-order or not. The Netflix order is tempting, since I haven't had it in a couple of years, but the fine print says it's only for the first 92,000 people. I really don't like the fact that I go from paying $30 a month to $50, especially since I'm getting less data.

I'm posting for you specially the message the way appears in spanish, you can use google translate if you wish:

The name of the app is: Telcel v. 7.1, this app is used for the carrier to send you annoying notifications about other carrier products anytime they want.

Eliminar todos los datos y desactivar la aplicación?
Si desactiva una aplicación integrada, podria causar problemas con otras aplicaciones. Además, se eliminarán sus datos.

Remove all data and disable the application?
If you disable an integrated application, could cause problems with other applications. Moreover, your data will be deleted.

Would you disable it? I wouldn't definitely.

Second point: what if what i really want is not disable it but uninstall it, which is completely different, the second one that would make me really happy and satisfied not the first one (with the risk involved).

I won't be paying anymore for such an expensive phone to receive also carrier cr#$#p for free, no way, no more, that's the Samsung way, and now even more aggressive than ever, it is pretty clear now for me.

But again, i'm gonna wait to see a youtube video in order to know what can or can't be done with all that bloatware installed on the Galaxy s6.

I pre-ordered my White 32GB S6 today at Best Buy. They are throwing in a free charging pad as well which is a nice little bonus.

After playing with the S6 and S6 Edge for 15 minutes I concluded that I preferred the feel of the standard S6.

My opinion overall is the design is exquisite. The glass and metal design is incredibly light and feel wonderful in the hand. From a design perspective, it really does seem more like an Apple product.

The camera was zippy, and super sharp.

The software build was generic, not carrier specific, so there are some unknowns in there.

Screen was really good too.

I'm going to run the S6 and Note 4 in parallel for 10 days and see what I think. I will probably miss the S-pen, but not the size of the Note 4.

That's actually a standard message and YES you can disable it without it affecting you.

and that's what i've done all this time, i lied :D Whether it was standard or not i disabled the sucker a few months ago.

Did i mention when i bought my galaxy s3 my stupid carrier deleted and didn't include the beautiful weather app?

SIII_mini_B_comp.png

I had to wait an entire year for it and demand it, they finally included it in one rom after 1 year had passed since the release but man it was a pain. Instead they included tons of useless bloatware from day 1.

Anyways repeating the same experience with a brand new expensive model, i'm not in the mood anymore.

When the first galaxy was released it was a no breaner for me mainly because of its excellent battery life, same happened with the SIII, last year i didn't buy the iphone 6 because i told my self i was gonna wait for the galaxy s6, i had hope and now i'm not that happy, reduced battery capacity compared to S5 but mainly, man all that bloatware...:(

According to the above article why going 32GB minimum this time for the cheapest model? pretty much because now includes more bloatware than ever, you might disable some but still its gonna be there..

Well in fact it's not the same article, they are all from different sources, and not old sources, the latest Forbes one is only 9 hours old.... but yeah i agree i'm back to the ipad air POP thread...that's a good example of Apple 2014 cra#$# manufacturing quality... but that's a different company.

I wish the impossible a Samsung phone (hardware) with the best mobile OS, iOS (software), he he, maybe one day...

so now the real agenda comes out? You just don't like Samsung? Prefer Apple to everything?

Completely wrong, read again my posts mate. ;)

LOL in fact just read the post you are quoting if you just prefer...

Now would you let me go?

I did read it I guess it wasn't that clear to me. Oh well. You know phones have evolved quite a bit since your S3. Just saying......

Do you think? Mobile OS are pretty much the same, i know there has been an evolution but not that dramatic IMO, sure, Google is getting better each year but OS interfaces look pretty much the same for both Android and OS after all these years. You can buy whatever phone you want but after 1 year it starts to settle (i don't know the word: performance drop?) and after 2 years is pretty much out (exagerating here of course), that hasn't changed.

Both brands have always had advantages and disadvantages like everything, no idea what i'm gonna do still.

Just compared the gs6 to a iPhone 6 plus and the gs6 runs smoother and faster.this is no joke with all bloat demo mode cap running in the background

The gs6 absolutely Flys ....period

It's the fastest and smoothest running cell phone I have ever used.

Haters going to hate but the gs6 is by far the best cell phone on the planet right now.
