The phones not out yet in public enough.

Exactly, yet people already start complaining about bent issues, just stupid, he he.

The back and the front of the Galaxy S6 are glass right? bend that inside your pocket...

How do u feel about square trades findings about the s6 bending/cracking?

I think the real build quality issues will be the obvious one: the glass back.

That'll be a field day. People will report about cracks. They'll be outcry that Gorilla Glass 4 isn't good enough, etc. etc.

Like they are reporting currently on the iphone 6 right? I don't believe galaxy s6 complaints are gonna surpass iphone 6 ones but let's wait...

Yeah. I'll wait for people to report that the S6 is bending in their pocket first before worrying. And bending so much so that it's comparable to the scale of iPhone 6+ bending reports.

Given their difference in size, I don't think the S6 bending issue should be as widespread. Taller/longer things will flex more easily. Know what I'm sayin'?

Is this comparison picture taken to scale? the S6 actually looks thinner than the 6 Plus.

Yes, it can be turned off. It's an app called Lookout, and I think it's part of T-mobile's bloat.

Thanks for the info!

Planning on giving Touchwiz a try at some point with the current generation of galaxy phones (either the S6 or the upcoming Note 5). Coming from a Nexus I'm a little nervous but as long as bloat can be disabled I should be ok.

Will the Verizon S6 work for T-Mobile for LTE? It's significantly cheaper, so I might buy from them if I can sell my Note 4.

Not sure if it's been posted here yet, but GSM updated their S6 battery test with final software build. The results? Much better:

Update, April 3: We received a retail unit and re-ran the benchmark. The numbers improved noticeably compared to the initial tests with the pre-production unit.

I'm really happy to read this.

It's the modem firmware that is suckling down the juice.with another update the phone will have more talk time!

Remember this is the first time Samsung is using a modem other then Qualcomm

All phones will bend if they are pummelled by a machine. That is experimental lab based stuff and is not relevant to the average Joe's use case The issue with the 6 plus (which I don't believe) was that it was bending in normal circumstances e.g whilst in people's pockets. Until we see reports like this then there is no #bendgate as far as I'm concerned.

If one sits with their smartphone in their rear pocket well I could see it happening somewhat, not in one's front at least not easily.

Bending is blown way out of proportion, what the heck is the number of cases percentage wise anyways.

Reminds me of the Family Guy episode where Peter has his 'side boob' programme and its reported to the FCC. They then say 'we've have had 20 complaints, which as you know equates to 20 billion viewers' ....

This is how complaints on forums go. Whilst you may find 50-100-200 forum posts of people with issues, in comparison to the million and millions of units shipped - and yet people then equate the number of complaints to be suddenly indicative of all of those millions of users who haven't got issues and posted on forums.

The reality of any hardware defects is that - they happen - for some they happen a lot / repeatedly (ask spinedoc about the Note 4 for example) but are still not indicative of the whole.

We will never know a true percentage, but I would guarantee its vastly lower than people on forums who are fighting about brand A over brand B assert.

For example there is currently a poll on Google + about the S6 Edge and pre-scratched screens.

Taking it in face value from the results it's looking like 30% of people (so 1 in 3 devices) are pre-scratched.

However once the device is shipping on mass then I doubt the issue will ever be as high as even 1% overall. Still sucks to be in that 1% club.

What cases are u guys getting? I just ordered 3 of these for all of us.

I haven't seen anything about pre scratched except from your posts MRU. I searched XDA for all the people from TMO that have gotten their phone already. Not one reported an edge with a scratched screen.
There are TMO people who have bricked their phones trying to root/flash. But no scratched screens. T-Mobile is the only carrier shipping the phone right now. So they are the only one to have them.
But 3 respondents to a poll does not make it a real poll. Then concluding 30% will come pre scratched from 1 positive from that 3 people is not very scientific or conclusive.
I think the better target audience needs to be queried.
I started a new thread in the tMO section asking about pre scratched screens on the new S6 here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-galaxy-s6/general/scratched-screen-box-t3073390

As for bending of the 6+ even Marques Brownlee explains why the 6+ is susceptible to bend more than most phones.

The main thread is in the S6 Edge General thread. Not TMobile variant page.

Contributors with the issue include Erica Griffin on that thread.

But as I say these type of threads are not indicative of a whole by any stretch of the imagination. But does raise a little tension for those of us still waiting to receive ours.

That is the problem.......only TMO users have the phone right now as TMO shipped early. So who else would have the phone?
