That is the problem.......only TMO users have the phone right now as TMO shipped early. So who else would have the phone?

I don't know but it could indeed just be a case of damaged shipment from TMobile. But I did read that there was one German poster who also has the phone early and he has or claims to have the issue but again how does anyone check the veracity ?

But yeah - my point was not that this issue is a big issue, but my point was the way when something like this happens all of a sudden people assume that these folks represent larger proportion of people than they actually do. Reality is whilst these folks may have a damaged screen it undoubtably will only be a tiny percentage of users who get this issue. This applies to every product manufacturer.

The complaints of issues on forums is not indicative of a whole and never is.

We have discussed this every time a new phone is released. On every forum there will undoubtedly be a few "the sky is falling" posts about the new phone until people actually get the phone in their hands and the rumors go away.

Yep exactly... Every new phone we hear this :)

It isn't just phones, you usually hear or read complaints about anything because a majority of people who don't have issues don't go online to talk about how good things are going

Yep. It's why people with the issue (or those attacking any device for ulterior motives) will often use complaining threads as proof of a wider issue - when in actuality issues tend to be very much the tiny minority based on volumes shipped. There seems to be a general lack of common sense and perspective.

Nice tool:

http://www.gsmarena.com/battery-test.php3?idPhone=6849#show

based on 0.5h of calls, 1h of browsing:
Iphone 6+ : 117h
S6 : 103h
iphone 6 : 92h

So thats 10-15% better then 6, worse then 6+ .

Thank you, yeah nice tool i've always wanted to know those battery ranks.

But i think there is an error with this phone:
Sony Xperia Z3 Compact 101h
16:40h 14:52h 15:03h 161h

3rd place with a 2600 battery?

Z3 and Z3 compact have historically had great battery. The Z3 Compact is sporting a 4.7" 720p screen. That draws much less power than a 1080p 5.2" screen. Likewise Sony has some very good power saving features.

Galaxy S6

Samsung seems to be up to the usual launch stunts when it comes to employing people. This time not on forums but at China launch event.

500 of those attending were paid by Samsung to be there.

Those paid were then required to post on China's social media platform We Chat.

Im kinda kurious about the s6 aswell, but i dont see anything with it that the iPhone couldnt do better.

Why are you chosing the s6, i'm really curious about that since i want to like it aswell.

There a ton of reasons to like the S6....you should read through the thread. They are all outlined for you. They are all subjective. What is a feature some might not be for others.

Some of us like having iOS & Android. Why not have best of both worlds hardware wise.

Yup, just got an email saying mine shipped! Still no eta on the website, hopefully it will get here soon.
Nice! Lets us know how it goes! :)

Absolutely 100%.

so you only get HTC, OPO phones? What carrier do you use? TMO?
I used to rom and flash a lot. But what I found was....i wasn't gain that much by doing it. the risk reward and return on the effort involved just didn't pan out for me.

Lucky ? To get a locked down no root phone, with poor battery life. I'll pass.

Now the Note 5 based in this same design, could be cats meow.

Most people don't root. So, that would only be a negative for those who do.

Poor battery life? From what I've read it is right up there with the best. It almost ties the Note 4 for web browsing time, and it beats the S5 at both web browsing time and video playback time.
