Wouldn't surprise me if they'd try lol, didn't they try to patent round edges ...

Such a nice material, a shame to throw it into a plastic case.

Yeah, a nice glass back phone like that should just get a skinomi clear skin over it. I don't put cases on any phones anymore, even the ip6, I just skin them.

For me it depends what I am doing with it. On daily use - I don't bother with any case at all. Too pretty :)

If I go out with my son to the seaside or something, I might just pop my UAG case on.

Not sure what I will do yet 100% anyway - phone has only been pre-ordered from Germany - no idea when it will be here with me (Ok, not the S6, but the green Edge with 128GB).

I use a case because I've got a magnetic car mount, and instead of using the adhesive backing on the magnet, I wedge the magnet between the phone and the case. Plus this Z3C is so slippery, in better off with the extra grip anyhow.

Still waiting on my preorder from Best Buy..... (im)patiently..:)

Woah! Not a bad idea. I may get one of these. I rock my iPhone 6 and OnePlus naked on the back/sides (only screen protector up front). The back skin might be a great idea for the glass back S6 though. Thanks for sharing the idea.

Yeah, it's definitely nice to have a case for when the phone might be subjected to extra abuse.

I've been thoroughly impressed with these, and they are dirt cheap. I started using them like this on the ip4 with the glass back. You still get to fully fondle the beautiful glass back, but it's completely protected from scratches and a bonus is it increased grip quite a bit. They carry full body protectors which cover the sides as well. As for the front, I've never had an issue scratching any gorilla glass 3+ screen so I leave em naked.

I've gone to several best buys the past few days and each time someone has come up to me and started making small talk over the S6 while I am looking at it. They always ask if I pre-ordered and which one I am getting.

I'm beginning to feel like these people are placed there by Samsung...

Thats what im doing as well. Is why i prefer plastic backs. Even if this gorilla glass 4 on the back is more durable, its still glass. I dont buy phones because they are pretty.

You can actually watch the battery suck down throughout the review. Terrible.
Really how? I watched it and didn't see that. If you will notice there is a lot of stops and starts. The video took a long time to make than the 30 minutes it showed. Since you pay attention to details. Did you also notice the display brightness was set to maximum? A 30 minute video like that probably took a few hours to make.

My iphone 6 suddenly looks very boring...

This 100%. When you see what TouchWiz is capable of, not just the aesthetic customizations, but the ability to truly manipulate how you use your phone and the apps within, it's really impressive and makes iOS' "app drawer" style all the more stiff looking.

In TouchWiz, you can resize your home screen grid format, resize apps themselves, split the screen for multi-tasking, "minimizing" apps, turn on privacy mode (of the entire phone, not just a browser or something), engage battery saving modes, customize quick settings.... just to name a few examples. Smart Stay sounds pretty useful, too. Having a back button, also, is a huge functional advantage.

It just feels leaps and bounds ahead.

I looked at Skinomi for my S5, but went with the Ringke Slim Dot case. Pry the best case I've ever used for a phone, very slim (literally) but just enough to protect the phone/screen/buttons/camera etc, nice grippy dot texture on the back. This thing has taken some nice drops, love it. Anyone looking for an awesome case, check out Ringke Slim series (mines the slim dot). Friend just bought one for his phone after seeing mine.

Yup, it's had many of those functions for a while now and it should feel that way but every time I use it, I still find the experience completely unpleasant. And I don't want anyone to take my next comment as anything more than my personal opinion/preferences but I find so many of the features lackluster or just not worthwhile. Split screen multi-tasking on a device with a 5" display is useless for me and only works with a small portion of apps (people found a 3.5-4" iPhone display too small but 2.5-3" multi-windows are useful?), smart stay solves a problem I never experience, the TW Notification tray is still cartoonishly large and icons/font are oversized.

I won't begrudge anyone who likes the added functions but I still think Samsung's kitchen sink philosophy contributes to the problems commonly experienced with TW. And to preemptively responded to the expected 'Why wouldn't you want added features' question...added feature upon feature doesn't come without a cost. All those added features and functions add to the bloat that is TW and require memory. I just want Samsung to balance out the endless features--trim the fat and work to optimize the OS for smoother, more efficient performance. There have been indications that Samsung has moved in this direction with the S6 but I've also read that the strides in this direction were not as substantial as hoped. I won't pass any final judgment on it until I can spend some time with it but until now, TW just hasn't been my cup of tea, regardless of the hardware it was running on.

Sounds like you should get one of the rootable S6's and throw cyanogenmod or some non TW rom on it. Personally I love TW and couldn't live without many of the features. Multi window, incredibly functional and I use it every single day, for example. Once you get many of the TW features you can never go back to any other system.

Totally understand it's a personal preference thing and as much as I know how you like TW, I'm the person who balances out the universe with my dislike of it. ;) And yeah, my preference leans toward the stock Android aesthetic and a leaner OS. I'd probably be very hard pressed to NOT buy a GPE version of the standard S6--was really impressed by that hardware when I got to see it/use it in person.
