The white watches face looks immaculate! Almost looks like a classic mechanical watch to be honest.

Interesting footnote about the Galaxy Watch Ultra ...

The design actually stems from Galaxy Gear Sport released in 2017 first release of this hardware design!

But outside of these specific threads the Aplle Army will say "they copied" as if were in kindergarten class lol

Been messing with Galaxy watches since the Gear 2. The Galaxy Gear Sport is one of the few I never tried. I don't even remember it existed.

After market bands are already out. Here's the white one with a stainless steel band. Anyone who was able to get the titanium white one is very lucky, because this thing looks mint. The titanium white one would also look good in a tan leather band.

The Titanium White's watch face is pure mint! Clean and powerful and very sheek.

Mine is silver.

trying to convince myself I don;lt need it, and that my garmin is fine lol. Would be getting the 7 not the ultra anyway

The trade in values in the US are great. Upgraded from 4 > 7 for $60 with extra store discount.

Some are even suggesting getting a used Samsung watch on eBay and using that to get the trade in bonus.

Picked up a Galaxy Watch Ultra this morning - Yep, this is my favorite watch design. It's really, really beautiful in person.

Put in my pre-order yesterday for the Watch Ultra and then picked up two Buds3 Pro. You can never have enough earbuds. Unfortunately, shipping is Aug.19.

I do currently, and I believe the Galaxy Watch Ultra requires a Galaxy device, unlike some of their other watches.
I’m not sure about that… I think Galaxy Watch Ultra is compatible with any Android device, but certain features users will miss out using a non-Galaxy device.

I know one thing I like about owning a Galaxy Watch is how well it’s integrated with the Galaxy phone and buds (being able to see battery life)…. now, if I had it paired with some other phone and headphones… I’d most likely miss out on that feature.

But for health features… non-Galaxy users can use Google Fit with their Watch Ultra and for contactless payments, there’s Google Pay.

Per Samsung website:
Non-Samsung phones running Android can also connect to Galaxy Watch and Gear. For the best results, make sure your device has the latest software, and be sure to get the Galaxy Wearable app from the Play Store.

Note: When connected with Non-Samsung mobile devices, some features created by each manufacturer may have limited support and some features, like Samsung Pay, are only available on Samsung smartphones.

Supported devices vary depending on your region, operator and device brand.

Indeed it does to unlock all features; basic functionality does work with standard Android as well

I pre-ordered mine, and it was delivered on the 19th for some reason. I also had a AWU2 which I returned after comparing it with this GWU for a few days. I have a galaxy phone and an iphone, so was able to compare them.

I much prefer the GWU over the AWU2. The GWU has better features for my use, and seems to be pretty accurate as far as HR and GPS. It does sleep tracking automatically, unlike the AWU2 (that only does it as per a schedule or having to put in in sleep mode manually every night). And, the O2 sensor is not disabled like on the AWU2. It's a shame that apple has to try and pull a fast one with this O2 sensor, and then make the customer suffer by disabling it.

I really like this GWU a lot.

after the horrible s6 classic software i boycott all samsung watches. they software and app are just horrible compared to the apple counterpart.
What is so horrible? I've had zero issues with my 6 Classic. Combined with my S24+ and Buds3 Pro my mini ecosystem is fantastic and I haven't missed a beat since leaving Apple in January.

I think the apple software is pretty bad. Sleep tracking can only be done within a set sleep schedule, or by putting the watch into sleep mode manually every night, and taking it out of sleep mode manually every morning. The O2 sensor has been disabled because apple tried to be dishonest about their use of the O2 sensor, and decided to make the customer suffer as a result. The HR zones are a mess. You can only use their set formula which is based off of what they think your MHR is, and they also use percent of HRR instead of percent of MHR, and you can't even put a custom MHR in, so the only thing you can do is set custom HR zones for each zone. And that is only a portion of things I don't like about apple.

My Titanium White Watch Ultra has an estimated delivery date of Aug 14th. I was hoping to order one today for faster local pickup and cancel my pre-order, but the only available option would be a Galaxy store in New York and I'm in California, lol.

There are other Galaxy Watch Ultra colors available locally but I guess the Titanium White is in high demand and sold out. They need to ramp up production quick!

This watch looks superb. Might be of interest to me in a month or so when I get my EE upgrade and may go down the Fold 6 route with a Watch Ultra

For those commenting above re Samsung Watch and other Android phones. They work perfectly well...

I know you lose some aspects, but for me setting up the Watch 6 Classic with my Pixel Fold was a doddle and it worked faultlessly. Google Wallet worked as it should etc too...

Only sold it on as I prefer the AWU2 with my 15PM

But having the ability to swap between Samsung phone and watch and Apple phone and watch could be a better option for me...

My wife loves her P8P but it's too big for her (and her handbags 😐😂) so she'll take the Pixel Fold from me and I'll trade the P8P in or sell it on eBay when the time comes

I got the GW7 44mm and I love it. A very nice upgrade from my GW4.
The Galaxy Watch Sport is still my favourite galaxy watch of all time and I never got rid of it.
