Before you buy aftermarket bands, take a look at this adapter. I just bought the stainless steel color. I can now use my 22mm bands that I have from previous watches.

There is also this other set that allows you to select between 22m and 24mm. I like wider bands, so I almost went for the 24mm adapter, but since I have so many 22mm bands laying around, I just went for the other seller as they also ship much sooner.

Down the road as more bands become available, I may decide to buy a band without the need for the adapter, but for now, this is perfect.

I was able to somehow snag a trail band in-store at Best Buy today on a small road trip. Definitely love it.

Samsung's trail band is definitely the highest quality of the Apple/Samsung bands I have tried. It's like a perfect blend of Apple's Alpine Loop and Trail Loop bands.

My Titanium White Galaxy Ultra finally shipped. Can't wait for it to arrive Monday! So glad it's UPS and not FedEx. FedEx is notoriously unreliable and inaccurate with their delivery estimates around here.

The extra free band won't deliver until end of the month, which is still better than the original mid-September estimate.

Love the Titanium White! I originally ordered the Titanium Gray because I thought the white seemed more of a feminine color since all the reviewers wearing white were women (with the exception of post #59 above; great choice!). Ultimately I said screw it, I really liked the Titanium White best and it was worth the wait and no regrets!

My Galaxy Watch 5 Pro always felt bulky and heavy, but the Ultra is very comfortable despite being bigger and heavier than the 5 Pro. I actually don't feel the Ultra on my wrist as much as the 5 Pro.

Yeah, I'm feeling the Titanium White as well. I'd look to get that one, if the larger Pixel Watch doesn't interest me... but I'm leaning on staying with the Watch 4 Classic.

One reason why I'd like to stay with my current Galaxy Watch... I'd have to buy more watch bands (currently have 10 bands).

That seems kind of strange... Ultra is bigger and heavier than the 5 Pro yet it's more comfortable?

I know, strange, right? The Galaxy Ultra distributes the weight across a larger contact area so it doesn't feel as bulky as the Watch 5 Pro did, despite the Ultra being an overall larger and heavier watch than the 5 Pro. The wider watchband on the Ultra is also better proportioned. The Watch 5 Pro stock watchband had a neat clasp mechanism but the shape and narrow width made the watchface look even bulkier.

I really appreciate the responsiveness of the Galaxy Watch Ultra. Hopefully it continues to function smoothly for a few years. I had the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro for two years but after the first year, and several updates, it felt sluggish and had severe lag when starting activities.

I really like the big bright screen of the Galaxy Ultra. I can even view a browser on it and watch YouTube videos on the Watch Ultra. I was able to use the browser on the Watch 5 Pro too but the Watch Ultra's 15% larger display makes it more pleasant to pass time when without my phone. Google Maps is also better on the bigger Ultra display.

One disappointment is the Quick Action Button is limited to exercise, flash light, or stopwatch for now. Hopefully Samsung opens up more options in future updates.

I love the default watch face with 8 complications! Went out for an evening walk with the family and the activity tracker fired up right away and dual GPS produced accurate distance and pace, on par with my past Apple Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. So far, Day 1 has been great and will see how long a full charge lasts.

That's really nice in white @NeonNights 👍🏼

I'll be going for the titanium and orange one; always been a fan of orange accents (hence my orange Nomad case for my 15PM and the orange straps for my AWU2 etc 😂 )

Just need to decide on which Samsung mobile to partner it with; ZF6 or S24U (already have a Pixel Fold and I think I'm swaying to keeping that and getting the S24U as I do worry that the narrowness of the ZF6 will do my nut in haha)

The Galaxy Watch Ultra continues to impress. Performance is excellent, the display and watch faces are beautiful, and the battery life rocks! The Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro both share the same 590 mAh battery capacity but the Ultra definitely has longer battery life.

When the Watch 5 Pro was new I could get a full 48 hours of battery life with basic step-count use and about 36 hours with exercise activity tracking.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra only consumed 31% battery in a full 24-hour period that included call/message notifications throughout the day, Always On Display, music controls, step count on, and a 40-minute walk around the neighborhood. I left my phone at home so the Galaxy Watch Ultra was using GPS/LTE during the walk. The battery breakdown comprised of 25% during 15 hours of wrist time and 6% battery consumption while on the nightstand overnight powered on. I don't plan to wear the watch while I sleep. At this rate the Galaxy Watch Ultra will last me over 72 hours of real-world use before it dies.

Really impressed with the Watch Ultra so far; feels superb on the wrist and very well made...

I've fitted the Spigen EZ screen protector to it and the rugged case - I need both to protect it from when I'm training, out in the garden, working on our cars etc (and I'm clumsy at times) 😂

Super-slick to set up; got Google Wallet set as my default pay app and just connected it to EE for mobile network connectivity etc

Running the aftermarket velcro strap for now off Amazon UK; will get some Ultimal straps when they're released in the UK. They're on Amazon currently but have to ship from the US

I've got the OEM orange Marine strap with it too and the OEM orange trail band; will test fit them too and see how they are

So far so good 👌🏼

So the Galaxy Watch Ultra didn't quite make it to the 72-hour mark, instead needing a charge after 62 hours. That is still almost double the battery life of the Watch 5 Pro under similar conditions.

I had my Galaxy Watch Ultra on for 62 straight hours, only taking it off at night (but still powered on). In addition to music control, step count, and responding to messages and calls the past 2.5 days, I also tracked two 40-minute walks without my phone (meaning the watch switched to LTE), and a 30-minute swim. I love the Galaxy Watch Ultra and am very happy with the battery life overall. I am sure I can use it for 3-4 days if I turned if off at night. I don't plan to use the power-saving exercise mode as that feels too restrictive and the watch is already pretty excellent the way it is.

Had my Galaxy Watch Ultra on during a swim workout this morning and it tracks pretty close to my SmartGoggles, definitely better accuracy than my previous Watch 5 Pro. I don't regularly need my watch to track swims and mainly wear it so I can be reached at the pool in an emergency, but nice to know the GWU is pretty accurate in the water.

If anything, the GWU correctly recorded 775 meters whereas my smart swim goggles credited me 25m by mistake when I was adjusting the head strap mid-swim and I forgot to pause the workout.

I’m not surprised at all, it’s a nice looking smart watch, meant for Samsung phone users, of which there are a lot, who can’t take advantage of Apple Watch.

Not just Samsung users. It'll work on any Android phone

You won't get all the apps working but most folk can work with that fine...

I ran thr Watch 6 Classic with my Pixel Fold and it did what I needed it to do...

Some cards and passes don't work on Samsung Pay here in the UK, but work fine on Google Wallet

Mailed in my Watch 5 Pro trade-in a week ago. It was initially scheduled to be delivered last Friday but now shows "weather delay". The temps in Texas show clear skies and 100 F, which seems normal with it being summer. Hope there isn't any funny business going on with my trade-in. I hope Samsung insures these return shipping labels.

My Fold5 trade-in delivered and processed a month ago without a hitch, just hope the watch does too.
