You should stay off the Internet until then. Going to be lots of talk about this one.

Well, I kept using the Internet, just to defy you. :p

I've read the books so no huge shocks in the episode but I imagine that you all felt like I did after I read it!

The great thing about Thrones is any character can die at any moment. It ranks up there for sure.

HBO puts out some amazing original programming. Six Feet Under, Rome, etc.

Haven't seen the episode yet, but read the books so I know what people are talking about.

Can't wait to see it when I get in tonight, I've been told that it lives up to the book.

I kind of envy those who didn't know what was going to happen before it aired.

Epic.

Rome, Deadwood, Dexter, Sopranos, and Homeland, all excellent. (Although Dexter and Homeland are Showtime).

everyone was so emotional about these deaths (judging by amount of fb posts), I thought those characters were a bit boring so they won't be terribly missed by me. (and theyre not exactly the "good guys" anyways)

You didn't think Rob Stark was a good character? You must be rooting for the Lannisters, clean as fresh snow. :p

Well the Starks were part of the rebellion that drove the targaryans out of their land and nearly wiped out that civilization, not exactly good guys.

Lannisters are at least more entertaining than Rob Stark's co (who did everything wrong thus far), though I'm not rooting for them.

Really loving this series, that ending of the latest episode hit like a truck. Very well done.

Yeah, as someone who hasnt read the book, I was absolutely shocked. And I dont get shocked easily, because I tend to pick up on things in movies and tv shows quite easily.

As far as the show itself, I have it as one of the best ever. I love Homeland and Breaking Bad, but I think GoT is better than both of them.

Holy Smoke! My wife and I have been out of town so we just caught up on episodes 9 & 10 from the DVR. She's read the books, but kindly didn't spoil the wedding surprise. She said she was so mad after reading that part that she actually put the books down for a bit and contemplated abandoning the series.

At this point I'm rooting for individual characters on the Stark and Lannister side, but I'm fully on board with the Targaryan Princess. They are obviously setting her up as a "favorite" protagonist, which makes me nervous for her character seeing as how anyone can die at any moment in the series.

No joke. When she went out into the crowds in the final scene, I was wincing.

Meh, I found the last episode to be a snoozefest :( I would have preferred that the season ended with the red wedding :)

Yep, no one is safe in this series. The author has a proclivity to wipe out characters who I imagined would march forth. The Lannister's represent a pit of vipers, however, Tyrion Lannister happens to be my favorite character in the show and the most reasonable of the their clan, so who knows what the future will bring.

While not requesting blatant spoilers has I have not read beyond book 2, based on episode 10 and the burning of the Stark's camp, can I assume that the Army of the North no longer exists in any meaningful way?

Maybe they wanted to end the season with the aftermath, so they could start next season with something fresher.

That seems to be the way they're doing the show...

Second to last episode, season 1: Ned is beheaded
Second to last episode, season 2: Blackwater Bay (good, but not as "epic" as in the book, IMO)
Second to last episode, season 3: Red Wedding

While hoping it doesn't take so far into Season 4 to happen, I'm wondering if the second to last episode will be another wedding... ;)
