The card holder feature is undervalued in todays society. Samsung is on to something that is real jeanious and I don't see consumer reports saving them from this.

How could Samsung release something such as this?

is it their new Galaxy Pay? slip your credit card between the screen and bezel and fan it in front of a Visa PayWave.

Yeah, your Galaxy phone could act as it's own mobile credit card terminal. Just swipe and go baby!

Meh I'd rather have a gap than a bendy phone. I thought it was slightly blown out of proportion but after watching the unbox therapy video its ridiculous how easy it is the bend the 6+.

Come on, you're better than this 'chica...

The Consumer Reports test shows exactly how much force is need to bend the 6+...90lbs of pressure is not insignificant and the fact that their actual scientifically based test shows it's capable of withstanding greater pressure than the 6, when Mr. Unbox Therapy claims the 6 is stronger, proves how full of %&$# he was. Nine reported claims submitted to Apple out of millions of phones further reinforces how much FUD is being slung around.

And if you really want to go that route..what do you think is more likely, my front pocket exerting 90 lbs of pressure on my iPhone 6+, or some water/dust being captured in these supposed gaps, something that is certainly possible just handling it or even with the phone just sitting the table?

Your Samsung fangirl is certainly showing here...

Regardless, this situation just as stupid. Did they actually go and check every phone in these early shipments? There are going to be manufacturing irregularities or defects found for EVERY device on the market--showing one or two examples doesn't necessarily mean it's a widespread issue. People need to find better uses of their time, IMO.

That's pretty bad.

I had an HTC Hero that had some design gaps, big enough for a paper sheet, and it got filled with dust, and humidity. It was replaced in under a year because it stopped responding due to humidity.

One of the things I do like about the S5 is how sealed it is.

Well too be fair this issue is a manufacturing defect. But also need to see more reports before I say it's real. If indeed the issue is real, it will be fixed before I get mine. Now the iPhone bending easily is not a manufacturing defect. It's a design defect. This won't be fixed without a redesign. It's meant to be that way by design. Which means it won't be fixed at all in the near future. That's a pretty big difference. Trying to say these two issues are the same is ignorant.

phew. Not an iPhone problem. But the new Note 4. Amazing Samsung takes the mick out of Apple and they don't even have their own house in order.

the difference between the manufacturing error and the bad design? there will always faulty units from a whatever company - even from samsung. but if the device is designed wrong in the first place, it is an issue...

TBH......The Consumer Reports test is not real world. Real customers reported it was happening to them. The test does not simulate a phone in a pants pocket. Other sites have said the CR test was flawed.....

Then this is the same Consumer Reports that the Apple faithful called trash and rubbish last year. Remember when CR said the iPhone 5s battery and display was not as good as Android flagship phones? Or the iPad gets too warm when charging....

I get fuzz and small fibers stuck in between my iPhone screens all the time (caseless).

Never could I fit a piece of paper in there... but get random fibers stuck in there. Multiple iPhone models, multiple iterations of those models. No biggie.

And Unbox Therapy's test doesn't simulate real world use either. Real customer's are reporting is happened to them--so we take customer's word, some who are absolute idiots for it, rather than clear video evidence. Sure...that seems perfectly reasonable.

And again, there have been a total of 9 reported claims. There have probably been far more cases of dead pixels yet we don't see all kinds of coverage regarding that.

Again, all of this bend gate is absolute nonsense--no phones are indestructible, this just makes for a juicier news article, or blog post. I guarantee I can bend and break any smartphone with enough force. Anybody can feel to send me theirs and I'll happily film the experience and post if for you. ;)

I agree that is it blown out of proportion..... But I think there are more than just 9 cases of a bent iPhone 6+. I think some do not want to hurt Apple and it will not get reported or the person doing the replacement will not report it as a bent IP6+. It will just get replaced....no questions asked.
