Yeah it could go 'viral' in the wrong way like that, it becomes like a sport for morons to try and bend every unit they see... Well, let's just hope it doesn't come to that I guess. LOL sometimes humanity just feels a little bit pathetic

That's criminal damage!

wow, missed this post

guess it is already happening

this will be a problem for apple stores for sure

Yeah I suppose they might end up having to hire security staff just to stare at the iPhone tables all day  It's tough when you have such a valuable piece of kit that can be damaged so quickly and quietly too.

I think those particular kids will regret their prank pretty soon though, since they showed their faces and even boasted about their feat on Twitter and FB too....... lol.

Maybe they should spend more money on better engineers and materials so their phones won't bend instead.

I'm sure this manufacturing flaw from Samsung is unlikely the make the front page, unlike the one last week that effected a whopping 9 iPhones though.

IMO screw Apple and Samsung, they're as bad as each other.

Time to go retro and get those Matrix phones happenin' again.

That pretty sad. Hopefully they can catch the vandals on video and nab them as they leave the store and prosecute. Maybe that would deter the rest.......

Wow that's not great. I've been able to put my hands on several Note 4's and none of them had this issue, but that's several versus the millions that exist. I'll have to watch and make sure I don't get this issue on mine, but that's what warranty is for. At least I know ATT will warranty this as an issue, doesn't apple in it's official stance not warranty a bent iPhone?

Us Apple users have gotten used to the attention to detail and build quality of our devices, to the point that we forget just how bad it can be elsewhere.

Not to mention, forgetting that it's happened with iPhones as well.

For one example:

iPhone 5 - gap between metal frame and glass?

People are right about one thing: it's almost guaranteed karma that if one company mocks another, they themselves will suffer some issue soon after :)

And Unbox Therapy's test doesn't simulate real world use either. Real customer's are reporting is happened to them--so we take customer's word, some who are absolute idiots for it, rather than clear video evidence. Sure...that seems perfectly reasonable.

And again, there have been a total of 9 reported claims. There have probably been far more cases of dead pixels yet we don't see all kinds of coverage regarding that.

Again, all of this bend gate is absolute nonsense--no phones are indestructible, this just makes for a juicier news article, or blog post. I guarantee I can bend and break any smartphone with enough force. Anybody can feel to send me theirs and I'll happily film the experience and post if for you. ;)

None of the tests I've seen are real world, including the CR one, but that's just my opinion. Having a ton of force over a small area and small period of time is one thing, I can't see that happening in the real world very often. What I'd be curious about more is having smaller forces acting constantly over a period of time, possibly even back and forth. When I put my Note 3 in my pocket and sit down to drive, for example, I can feel my phone pressing into my pocket. With adjusting my seat position, gas, brake, etc etc. I can feel I'm putting various stresses on the phone and can feel it slightly flex and unflex in my pocket. You can take a fairly unbendable piece of metal and by slowly and slightly bending it back and forth it will eventually bend more and more. What the impact of something like that on the aluminum body with weak points of the iPhone 6 might be I don't know, but I do know that it's as real world as you can get.

Lol, thanks for that post. Karma indeed.

Nothing from Samesung makes the front page. We live in a world of people trying to justify not owning an iPhone.
