iPhone Gevey Turbo SIM to unlock iPhone 4 on the latest BB

Does anybody have any experience using this on the 3 UK network? I've seen that you have to enable data roaming/disable 3G, but can you still get 3G data using this device?
 
I've just heard that Gevey Pro Plus will be released very soon. If anyone is planning getting one soon you better wait for the upgraded one.

What will the difference between the current one and the new one be? I hear the current one works perfectly.. maybe a permanent unlock?! ;)

I running 4.2.1, on BB 3.10.01.

I'm going through the steps of the Gevey and getting stuck in the airplane mode on/off part.

As I toggle the airplane mode off, I get the "SIM Failure" and it just gets stuck there along with "invlalid SIM" in the upper left where the reception bars would be.

I toggle back and forth and get the same message each time. I turn the phone off and start over and get the same result each time.

I do get the 1 bar at the beginning of the process so I'm not sure what is going on.

I was having this same issue, this is how I got it working.

1. After hanging up, don't wait for the call to end. Go straight to settings, and then wait for the call to end.

2. As soon as it ends, turn on airplane mode. You should get the "No SIM" message.

3. Once you get the "No SIM", turn airplane mode off. You should then get "Invalid SIM", one signal bar, and finally full signal.

And on the blog I've seen it, It was GOLD and the package looks great. One of the providers told me it's gonna be released on Monday.

Is it worth to wait a few more days?

I've seen the current ones on ebay for less than $10 - are they worth it?

If you wish to unlock your phone then of coz it's worth it.
It was $65 when it first came out in Shanghai, and sold out everywhere.

What I meant is - are the cheaper ones worth or should I order directly from applenberry?

The ebay seller has near-immaculate feebdback and accpets back faulty items.

I bought mine from eBay , And it's a genuine one.
Just make sure on the eBay Item page it says the Gevey Pro is geuine so yeah there's genuine Geveys on eBay which are cheaper and worth it.
 
Can someone please confirm that TMobile's 3G data service works after you use the Gevey Sim on iPhone 4? I've been reading mixed results.

No, it does not work on T-Mobile's 3G network. The fastest speeds you will get are EDGE. The iPhone uses a different frequency for 3G and higher speeds than what T-Mobile uses.

They are testing the new iPhone (fall release) on T-Mobile's 3G & HSPA+ network. Rumor has it that there will be a version for Sprint, T-Mobile, as well as the current carriers.

Thank you for your response. Sucks that 3G doesn't work yet. EDGE is slow as dial up internet.

Im headed to Taiwan tomorrow and purchased a gevey sim card. Do I have to activate it in the US before I leave? or can I do it once I get to Taiwan thanks a lot

I'd assume you'll buy a prepaid sim card in Taiwan, then you have to unlock your IP4 with a gevey sim card in Taiwan.

I'm having issues getting the t-mobile logo to show up. After following all the steps and getting signal, my phone ends up losing signal completely after 30 seconds. Does anyone know how to fix this? I've gotten about 4 different sim cards and this issue still isn't resolved. I've also used different iPhones but I get the same result.
 
The new Gevey Pro or Supreme or whatever:

Would I be able to use this for an iPhone 3Gs with a microSIM to SIM adapter? and is the unlock permanent or will it go away when I restore? Also, will the unlock be reversed when I remove the Gevey from the phone?
