When will we see real reviews? I'm very curious to see battery life results. I know it won't be 11 Pro Max battery life, but as long as it's much better then the Pixel 3 XL battery life, I'd be tempted then.
I don't understand why someone wouldn't want a larger battery in the Pixel 4's?
I'm no Apple fan, but good for them on increasing battery size in the new 11 Pro's, it would be like the Pixel 4 XL having a 4,400mAh battery. That's the equivalent of the 10 XS Max to 11 Pro Max battery upgrade.
If Google did that, or even close, I'd be extremely happy. But I'm afraid the 3,700mAh battery in the 4 XL will just be the status quo of mediocre battery life, not bad, but not great.
The Pixel 4 XL should have come with a 4,000mAh battery minimum.
Especially on such a compact form factor.Yes. For me, the battery improvement on the 11 Pro is the single biggest reason for my satisfaction with the device right now. The camera improvements are great too but the fact that I never have to worry about battery now is fantastic.
3a XL is way above average. I easily get 7-10 hours SOT.I wouldn’t hold my breathe on the Pixel 4 battery being anything but bad. And honestly, have Google ever made a phone with battery life that was anything besides average?
My only reason for not wanting a larger battery is because it makes the phone heavier. For something I use day in and day out, I’d rather the phone be lighter. The 11 Pro feels like a brick and I know I’ll have difficulty holding it if I decide to get it. Even my iPhone 8 Plus is too heavy for me (the battery on it is awful as well). Sure, I could get a smaller phone, but I prefer big screens. I can’t do anything to make a phone lighter, but I can do something about a small battery (charge the phone more often, which doesn’t bother me too much given the ubiquity of outlets). I know I’m in the minority with this opinion and I understand why others would prefer a larger battery. The light feel of Pixel phones is one reason why I would consider getting one; weight is that important to me.I don't understand why someone wouldn't want a larger battery in the Pixel 4's?

I’m considering the Note 10+ as well because of the weight.Different thread, but the Note 10+ has a monster battery and is extremely light. Materials and not just the battery make a huge difference in weight.
Guessing this was to be expected

It would give us a much better idea on battery life if he posted a pic of the actual time in use. Not just "I’m down to 22% already".
I should have clarified, any of their top phones. 3a XL great battery life was just a byproduct of the concessions made by google to lower the price. By dropping to a lower CPU and lower resolution screen, battery improved.3a XL is way above average. I easily get 7-10 hours SOT.
