Just noticed Google has the XL 4 for LESS then the 4 lol o_O

XL 4 starting at 699
That's really weird haha. Wonder if it is legit or a mistake by Google. I'm completely on the fence re: keeping my 4 XL considering Samsung is offering $600 toward trade in on the S20; I paid $500 for it and I'm actually making $100 by trading it in.

It is getting mighty annoying juggling both Google Photos and iCloud for my photos and videos. Transferring / deleting / syncing has been a nightmare for me. Part of me wants to buy the S20+ for the micro SD slot and abandon Google Photos altogether. And simply transfer locally to my PC and then to iCloud as needed.

My 4 XL 64gb just ain't cutting it anymore, no way am I paying for more Google storage on top of iCloud storage. Regardless, the next iPhone I buy will not be 64gb. I'd like to go old school and keep everything locally and delete all cloud data + not have to pay for it either.

I purchased an Apple Watch this week and I absolutely love it. But I think this purchase officially ends my flirtation with Android devices—there isn’t an Android watch that even comes close to the capability of the Apple Watch.

I’m hoping that Google gets it together and makes a great Pixel watch, but I can’t see this happening; or if it does happen, I can’t see that watch being as refined as the Apple Watch. There are rumors that Verizon will no longer be offering the Pixel, beginning with the 4a. If this is indeed true, this is a big deal and it perhaps suggests that Google is longer interested in the Pixel line.

I'm at a similar place. Got my AW a couple months ago and love it. Interesting, wonder why Verizon would abandon it, either it isn't selling or they struck a deal with Samsung (I have no proof, but wouldn't be surprised if Samsung tries anything it can to curb competition, and Pixel seems like an easy target for them).

It's funny how people find the Apple Watch so amazing.

I have one, and really I should love it. I can't have my phone on me in work (it's outside the office) and I rarely get chance to even go and look at it most days so my watch keeps me up to date with everything. (It's cellular).

But I just don't "get" it. I never miss it. Since I've been on a Pixel again full time, the watch has sat on my bed side table and I never feel any want to wear it.

In Pixel news, there's still inconsistencies in my news feed, and this is the third time in as many weeks today where I've had to restart the phone due to losing all signal. In an area I have 4g, might I add.

I love my Pixel, but it has been a bit buggy recently.

I think Verizon just doesn’t sell enough Pixels to justify keeping it around.

I finally understand the obsession surrounding the Apple Watch. It’s so convenient. I barely touch my phone now. I was going to play around with the S20 yesterday at Best Buy, but I said “meh” and I drove past the store. I’m extremely happy with my XS and my AW. I really can’t see myself leaving the Apple ecosystem now.

The Watch is convenient for me for three main reasons: 1) I have an old car and I can actually finally “use” my phone without touching it. Previously, I’d have to pick up the phone if I needed to answer it or change my music/podcast or open the Maps app (I never text while driving, though). Now, I’m doing all of this more safely with the AW and without taking my eyes off the road. 2) I’m being more consistent with exercise because of the Activity rings. 3) Not having to take out my phone for Apple Pay.

I think it’s a very useful product. It’ll be interesting to see Google’s version of a smartwatch if it ever sees the light of day.

Same here....I had one for almost a year. Had the SS GPS and cellular model and it was a nice little toy for a while. But I found I still had to pick up my iPhone for most things anyway. I could not text on it very well because of the screen size, But loved it for driving and talking though.

I'm a guy that is always wearing a watch but I have yet to find a smart watch that I actually use past a couple of weeks. Now I have to admit I've never tried an Apple Watch and from everything I read it's miles ahead of Android. But as someone that always has their phone on them and available, smart watches just seem unnecessary for my use.

I don't want to sell the watch because when I have an iPhone, it is a nice companion to it. I'm not saying I hate the watch or anything, I just don't find it to be the device that locks me in from ever leaving iOS which is how a lot of people view it.

I have no interest in the fitness side of things with the watch, or the heart tracker, or replying to messages on it. For me it's essentialy an expensive notification bracelet. :D

But some people claim they can't live without it and I can understand it if they get the full use out of what it offers.

Funny how tastes differ. I consider the watch being one of if not the main driver for not leaving Apple. I hear a lot of “well this watch is comparable on Android”

Yeah, no it’s not.

Same here..it’s almost single-handedly the reason why I won’t leave an iPhone as my daily driver. I use it nonstop every day—fitness tracking, notification triage, messaging, calls, listening to podcasts, music and audiobooks while cycling or hiking with my dogs, retrieving two factor authentication codes from Authy for my job or other log-ins, activation of any of my smart home devices, scenes, automations or shortcuts, reminder/task list management as well as all the routine basics like timers, checking the weather, adding items to my grocery list, paying with Apple Pay, etc. I have the cellular model and use the watch independent of my phone for some period of time just about every day.

I’m doing all of this with my Watch as well. I need to download Authy. I’m barely on my phone now, which I like. I only use it if I need to use Safari. At this point, I’m tempted to buy a cellular version for my next Watch and leave my phone at home. It’s refreshing not being glued to my phone and being able to drive more safely because of the Watch.

Hi all. I’ve been chosen by ZeroLemon to test their new battery case and they’re sending me one for free. I had volunteered like a month and a half ago but I no loner own a Pixel 4 XL. So if someone wants it, just agree to pay me shipping and I’ll send it to you once I get it in the mail.

Pretty pleasantly surprised how well the pixel 4 is doing for battery.

Broke my note 10+ today so I need to run this for a time until the replacement shows up in the mail.

However I am digging it, and going to run it as a daily driver for a while.

Really wish it had an ultrawide camera, but there is a lot to love about this thing.

You forget just how stunning the camera is. No gcam port so far has gotten close to the real thing IMO

My Samsung Gear S3 Classic is STILL going strong after I think 3.5 years now? Basically losing count of how long I've had it, but everything is still working flawlessly! I'm rocking this watch until it dies.

It did used to work a bit better with the Samsung S8 but still works fine with my Pixel.

Also UK peeps the Pixel 4 is down to about £400 on eBay and the XL is between £500-550.

It's interesting because if the Pixel 4a comes out in May at £400 again, I'm not sure what the point is - except for better battery life.
