This is good news, am I right in thinking that Nest Aware is the subscription to their Nest cameras? also Fitbit premium is needed for the Pixel Watch 2 fitness?

I recently upgraded to the 2TB Google One plan, I hope I get access to this. I will be tempted to add a couple of Nest cameras to the house, especially if I don't have to pay an additional fee like with Ring.

With Pixel being stock Android, is it more customisable than Samsungs One Ui? Samsung has insane levels of customisation, even having apps like Good Lock that allow deep customisation.

I think you already answered your question in your question. Pixel is close to stock Android. Samsung has insane levels of customization including good lock. Thats it.

No Pixel UI does not offer the same level of customization or fine settings that Samsung offers but Pixel UI is also customizable but more streamlined with less options but simpler to set up. Pixel UI is great and offers a lot of customization in its own way.

Both are really great UI's and I can't say one is better than the other but they have different approaches. You just have to figure out if you prefer one or the other? However, if you like to customize a lot then Samsung is a better choise.

Hope you enjoy it! Mint is a great color! Pixel 8 Pro is a great phone with a ton of useful features.
I can’t wait to see the Mint colour in person. I’ve never used a Pixel before so I’m looking forward to trying it out. Google have said delivery will be between 9th-10th.

You might get it tomorrow or the next day hopefully. I think you will be very happy with it. Let us know what you think and how it works out for you!

It’s already moved to prepared to dispatch, I only ordered it last night. The only thing that concerns me is battery life, I’m not too bothered about it getting hot, I don’t push my phone too much since I don’t game on them (I have a PS5 and XBox X for that).

I really want a great camera tho and I’ve heard that the pixel is even better than my iPhone 15 Pro Max on that front.

I can vouch for the camera - if there's one phone I pick up without hesitation for photos over my iPhone 14PM or S24U, it's the P8P. I just prefer everything about how it takes them.

Battery life is also good for me - I'm quite a heavy user and it gets me through a day pretty easily.

I usually go to bed with around 40% left on my iPhone 15 Pro Max at the moment.

Google have just sent me an email saying that as a Google One member, I’ve got 10% back off my purchase in Google Store credit. It’s now been added to my account and is ready to spend. I have 365 days (1 year) to spend it.

If I wait until the next Google event (around May I believe) and I see something there like the Pixel Tablet 2 (if they release one), will I be able to use my store credit towards buying something, then pay off the rest with my direct debit?

Like make the SE with budget specs but keep all the flagship on equal footing.
Base model iPhones have never been flagship models.

The se has always Been entry level

Previous gen iPhones as mid range

The base model of cutreny Gens for those who want new iPhones but don’t need all pro features. Their price is fine.

Pros self explanatory

😬 you’re not filling me with much confidence here 😂

I will be keeping my iPhone anyway, I always do.

Don't use any other launcher than stock. Kind of the point of Pixel is Google launcher and all the features it provides. Some people may not like it but try it first and I have found 3rd party launchers these days only add problems but that is my opinion.

Don't get discouraged. Pixel is a great phone. Give it an opportunity and have an open mind and I am sure you will get along with it!

As for tips. Check some youtube videos on Pixel 8 Pro. Don't use your iPhone at all for a week. See how you feel about it after a while. Of course the point of using the device exclusively for a period of time is to help you familiarize yourself and not get distracted by old habits or interfaces. You can set a shorter period I just find a week is a good period of time to learn most things and get a decent feel for a device.

Everyone is different and learns in their own way so there is no wrong way.
