Who is getting an 8/8 pro to go alongside your new iPhone 15? Aka the money burning club. I’m in. 15pm and 8 pro.

Zero interest in the 15 Pro Max, so that's a no go.

But...I might buy an S23 Ultra and of course the Pixel 8 Pro.

The smaller non-pro Pixels are so uninteresting. Not offering a smaller Pro phone with the full camera and other hardware is so unfortunate. My 6 Pro is too big and I went for that regardless due to the better hardware. As is widely known the smaller Pixel 6 had a terrible screen. I need to move away from that size but I want a flagship and not the subpar standard models. Likely it's back to the small Pro iPhones for me until Google brings the old Pixel XL size back to life.

If you want to buy in the next couple weeks/months and don't mind the size as well as the display bending over the edge (I hate it with passion on my Pixel) it's the most hardware (especially the camera) and cleanest Android you can get for the money with plenty of years of upgrades (4 years left now).

Just based on the price alone a 7 Pro makes more sense than buying a brand new 8 series Pixel at launch.
I’ll be watching the 7 pro price with interest on the google store after the 8 pro launch. Stupidly sold it back in April . Thought it was a decent phone with some minor niggles

I bought an iPhone 15 Pro on launch day and a week later I returned it. I already have a Pixel 7a which beats the iPhone 15 Pro in may ways - usability and photos in particular. I am going to buy the Pixel 8 on Wednesday. Can't wait!

I am still in between staying with the S23 Ultra, switching to the iPhone 15 Pro Max, or switching to the Pixel 8 Pro.

Lol it's tough. I will not carry two phones. Love my S23 Ultra going on 8 months now but ugh the double apps (and random texts failing). iPhone is practical and familiar. Pixel is the wild card. I really like Google services in general, and I wouldn't deal with the double apps, but I also feel like from a hardware standpoint, it's a bit riskier.

Same... My Samsung A53 5G is nigh on useless and my Pixel 4XL isn't 5G and I ideally need that for working from when Virgin Media drop broadband randomly like they do and we're down for a good few hours

7 Pro's will be available for decent money I reckon; kind of agree re the 8 Pro as it's not a massive hike over the 7 Pro new tech wise, same with the 15PM over the 14PM, that's why I've stuck with mine and sunk £1800 into Bilstein B16 coilovers for my BMW F31 instead 😂

I'm going to be duelling the Pixel 8 Pro alongside my 15 Pro Max. I've been with Samsung on the Z Fold 4 & S23 Ultra, back to Apple & Google again for the next year.

Being back with Apple feels very easy again but no great strides in innovation. I may end up giving the 15 to my better half if I enjoy the Pixel experience and ecosystem a lot.

I really like Google services and what they are doing with AI.

Understand people's decision to go for a 7 Pro over the 8 Pro, makes sense to save some cash as 7 Pro prices will drop right off. I just want the latest Pixel, I'm hoping Google has improved video with the 8 Pro.

I was all set on the new Bay colour, now thinking of plain old black Obsidian again as it looks mega. Will add a Dbrand skin or leather case. I'll pick up Google's silicon case first.

Can someone in the UK please remind me of the Google pre-order process; is it better to order the Pixel separately to the accessories for quick delivery or does it make zero difference if both are ordered together?

I'm based in Italy but looks like Google are not immediately launching the 8 in Europe in either Italy or Spain which is a bit of a crazy decision. Nothing is on their Google main site about the 8 launch. So best I pre-order from the UK, especially if the Pixel 2 Watch is in the pre-order bundle.

Same. I just might get the 7 Pro to save money. The 8 Pro doesn't seem to be a huge upgrade over it.
I might get the 8 Pro if Google is being generous again with trade in for the 7 Pro. If Google does in fact announce that the 8 series will get seven OS upgrades followed by 2 years of security updates, then that would be something to consider. That would take the 8 series out to Android 21.

I tried the iPhone SE (my first iPhone) and sent it back, too small for someone who's turning 65 later this year with failing eyesight. I'm tempted to pickup the 15 PM by going with Xfinity Mobile where I pay for the phone but get two years worth of free service.

Early returns. I’m really happy with the upgrade. I’m coming from the iPhone 12 Pro so although minor screen size wise it’s a nice improvement a lot brighter screen a bit quicker and the camera is a nice upgrade. I’m really happy so far with the phone.

No 8 Pro for me cuz I burned a whole bunch more money on a Pixel Fold couple months ago. I like Pixel Pro variants and have had a few versions in the past but two similarly styled slab phones doesn’t really solve any problems for me—a Folding phone paired with my iPhone (picked up a 15 PM) was far more compelling with less use case overlap.

Enjoying the setup so far.

Typically, my 15 PM is now coming tomorrow after what feels like a torturous wait 😄. Will it be enough to make me skip P8 preordering!?

Guess we will see tomorrow how I feel about it.
It will be enough, but you’ll still order one further down the line! 😁
