You guys with the 11th delivery are lucky. Mine says 12th-13th.

At first it said phone would be delivered on the 12-13th but the watch would be here in November. I thought that kind of sucked but okay.

Then today updates saying everything will be delivered on the 12th or 13th.

I already ordered a Rinke Fusion case and a 3 pack of tempered glass screen protectors for the 8 Pro. So happy I can use a regular cheap tempered glass screen protector!

I got the bay because if you knew me I am sort of a fan of blue. My car is blue, my bedding and bath towels are blue, my MacBook is midnight blue, and on and on. The Bay blue in production photos looks super saturated which I like but real life videos make it to be like a baby blue. At any rate it is not often you see a phone in this shade of blue.

Wow, the end was so awkward😆.

Lol

They didn't really do a great video IMHO. Like if you are going to do a video about if the 8 Pro is worth the price difference at least know the specs before hand. Not knowing that the 8 Pro has 12gb ram?

Google doesn't apparently make a premium phone?

And I didn't feel they really stated a point either way. At first it is like $300 is a big difference and the only difference is camera and screen. Actually wasn't that the same as last year?

This is how I see it. If you don't care about a large screen or telephoto zoom then you probably don't need the Pro. Save the money and you will get pretty much the same experience. But if you do like the biggest screen, the most ram, and telephoto zoom then the Pro is your best option. And if you look at the Pro against the competition the price is lower than both Samsung and Apple.

I’m probably in the minority here, but I’m actually excited to get the Pixel Watch back on my wrist.
Much prefer it to my series 3 Apple Watch which is just … there. I wear it but I never interact with it unless my phone is in my pocket and I get a notification.

I’m looking forward to the new watch faces and picking up some of the new bands.

Also intrigued which device I’m going to favour vs my iPhone 15 PM. I’m still in the return window for my iPhone and I don’t really want to rock two phones, but given the pixel has cost me so little (£162 for both the phone and watch) I feel better about having two high end devices. I normally don’t love the fact I’ve spent so much money on something that is hardly being used, if that makes sense.

Depending on my delivery time, my work may well take a little dip tomorrow. 😛

Well the series 3 is 2018 vintage so there's that.

After getting the AWU, I discovered how much I actually like my series 3 as it does quite a bit of good and still gets used. Remote camera, and screen write to text back is actually good on that device.

That said, I am super pumped to get my first Android wearable and hopefully experience a good takeaway of the Android side of this fence.

Spigen has been my go to case for years.

I am just now, slowly branching out.

I know phones are expensive and $50 for a case for a $1k phone is not crazy but I personally don't like to spend over $20.

Occasionally for a really cool case I will spend up to $40 but that is my general limit.

As long as you stick to Rinke, Spigen, Caseology, Crave all seem to be good brands with good quality and reasonable prices.

I hate using a case or a screen protector because they add bulk and take away from the look of the phone but I normally don't have insurance and a case and screen protector have saved my phones numerous times.

I remember when I got the Samsung Galaxy s6 and I had a case, the day I got the phone I dropped it 4-5 feet onto the asphalt pavement and not a scratch on the phone.

Since then I always get a case when I get a phone.
