I've bought every XL/ Pro pixel phone. I like the larger phone due to the battery at better specs.

But...

This year with a pixel 9 Pro finally having the same specs as the big phone. I'm almost thinking on going with a smaller Pro, not the XL for once. Honestly I wouldn't mind going back to her more portable hand friendly size phone again.

Pixel 9 Pro have a 6.3" size display, kind of funny, we're calling that the small version nowadays.

What are you all thinking?

Well I really shouldn't buy yet another phone, but I'm thinking the s24u is too big for me, and the p8p is only slightly smaller, but it's lighter, and rounded corners make it more comfy. I don;t think there's a big enough improvement to upgrade until next year.

£5 says I get the p9p lol

If the Fold 2 comes to my country then I'll probably buy it.
Not impressed with the smaller sensors than the Fold has, but I´m getting a change of mind as I really want one 😁

Hey everyone, it's been a while since I've been in this thread, I'm still floating around. Have you all seen the latest on the Pixel 9, 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Fold? the design looks different. Below is the latest from Onleaks, looks interesting.

My issue when I tried the Pixel 8 Pro, was battery life, if Google can get it on par with iPhone and even the S24 Ultra range then I think it could be a great alternative to iPhone and even Samsung.

The Google event on the 13th of August could be a busy one, I've seen rumours that there will be Pixel Buds Pro 2 as well as a new Pixel Tablet AND a Pixel Watch 3 in bigger sizes. Are Google going to update most of their lineup across the board at this event.

Umm.. hasn’t seen rumors of a new Pixel Tablet? But on second thought… they was planning to release a Pixel Tablet Pro. However, that was rumored a couple months after the release of the 1st generation Pixel Tablet... I think it was contingent on how well the Pixel Tablet perform in terms of sales.

But Google is in an odd position… there’s the ChromeBook that runs ChromeOS that has a desktop interface and can run Android apps. And then there’s the Pixel Tablet… with a tablet interface and runs Android apps as well. There’s rumors that they plan to combine the two… Pixel Tablet and ChromeBook.

I think the Pixel Tablet should be rebranded as a Nest device… because if I was to buy one I’d use it as such.

Perhaps, a situation where they stagger releases.

I think I’m leaning to pixel 9 pro fold as my next device before iPhone launch of course
I’m surprised you not going for the Pixel 9 Pro XL… given camera is what you value most on a smartphone.

It is but I already have the best two camera phones so it’s not as big a deal now

I use Oppo find x7 ultra and Vivo 100 ultra for most of my photos

So for me it’s more about the pixel experience and having all the new features software wise in a foldable

Out of curiosity, do you own a digital camera? I just picked up a Lumix S5... had a Sony mirrorless camera years ago, trying to get back into the whole photography/videography scene.

Debating on whether I should keep the Lumix S5 or go with the Sony Alpha ZV-E10 II or maybe the A6700.

Did you have the original Pixel Fold? How has it held up? The one thing that always bothers me is the durability of a screen that’s folding and unfolding over time.

Do you know how the Fold compares to the Galaxy Fold?

I got to say that the Pixel 9 Pro Fold (what a ridiculous name) looks good.

Running the Pixel Fold myself as my 2nd phone (used all day as my business device with lots of messages sent (texts, WhatsApp Etc), folded and unfolded and then it's my main device in the evenings (Kindle, Pocketmags, YouTube and Real Racing 3 😂) and zero issues... It opens / closes as you'd expect and I have no issues with mine folding flat, but it needs to be coaxed, it's never forced.

IMO for my needs and my size hands, it's the perfect design with the wider front screen. Great for messaging, whereas the Galaxy Fold is a bit too narrow for my liking. I lasted 2 weeks with the Z Fold 4 before I moved it on to go back to an iPhone

I really hope Google don't make the next Fold narrower, but it's looking like it'll be that way unfortunately. But how narrow no one really knows, yet...

Pixel Fold held up well. It's a really well built phone and hopefully the second one follows same way. I just recently traded in so almost one year with the phone and no issues with screen or hinge. It looked and worked like the first day

Nah got rid of it rather early

Only got rid due to aspect ratio being bad for full screen apps. They fixed it though since

Seems pixel 9 pro will start at $999 for 128GB and $1,099 for 256GB

Pixel 9 pro XL 128GB will be $1,099 and 256GB at $1199

You will be able to get 512GB as a free upgrade for pre ordering for that $1199 price point

Can anyone confirm the Pixel 9 Pro XL will have a 6.8 inch display? I might have to get the P9P XL is it has the same display size as the S24U.
It is strange that I am more excited about the P9P XL than the iPhone 16 PM.
I have had every iPhone since day one.....
