I'm being completely serious here, did you try pounding the phone on a thick carpet several times? I had a Xiaomi 14 that had a dust speck smack in the middle of the ultrawide lens that created a dark spot in all photos taken with that lens. I was getting no warranty support anyway so figured what the hell 😂😂. Gently but forcefully pounded the phone into the carpet maybe 5-10 times. Dust speck gone. I couldn't believe it worked.
Good for you. I just giving my experience. Its will know in the EU community that these is a issue

So if google has a poor quality control, why do the majority of people have a good experience? 🤔

It dynamically moves as you move the phone around.

I absolutely love the feature that has your most recent apps as icons on your screen. I keep 2 folders of daily apps, and then my 3 recents are always right there.

Then I keep one screen of media control, and that is it.

How do I get the recent apps option?

Change your favorite apps
At the bottom of your screen is a row of your favorite apps. Your phone suggests apps for your favorites based on your recent and most-used apps, as well as your routines. Your suggested apps have a colored shadow around the icon.

When there’s an empty space in the row, a new suggested app will appear. You can pin, remove, or add any of the suggested apps. You can also manually swap out any app

I have owned both, and the pixel 9 >>>>> Pixel 6.

The pixel 6 is the worst phone google ever made, so bad in fact that it almost put me off of buying another pixel ever again.
The Pixel 6 actually drove me to the iPhone. Haven’t been back since although the 9 series was tempting.

The modem on that phone was inexcusable. Google corner cutting at its finest.

The modem on the 6 was terrible but at least on the 9 it's good. No issues at all, I actually get a better signal in my house on my 9 Pro than I do on my iPhone.

I’m testing the fold and it’s a genuinely a great device that is ready for prime time. It’s polished and works really well. Table top view mode is great and watching content, unfolding, then folding and the media keeps playing shows how polished the experience is now.

Face and fingerprint unlock is amazing. I wish Apple would do away with standard Face ID, copy googles method with fingerprint and that would be an amazing upgrade.

Also when it senses another person is using the phone it locked it down. Nice feature!

Multi-user and private space accounts are really great features I wish Apple would copy.

Three observations; watching a movie off angle I can see the fold crease if it’s vertical. Horizontal angle hides this very well for off angle viewed movies.

It’s heavy, and will be heavier with a case. My pants feel too tight when I’m been a iPhone mini user for 4 years now.

Also I don’t like how you cannot get rid of the google search bar unless you install a launcher, that’s pretty lame.

And the notifications are excessive (maybe I’m not doing this correctly ) but my Tesla app keeps sending silent notifications, pixel tips sends a silent notification and alarm notifies me there’s an alarm (silent notification) really?

Not a deal breaker but I’ve silenced or “send notifications to the summary” most of my notifications and rarely get instant notifications on my iPhone mini. Hell I don’t have notifications on my Apple Watch.

I’m returning it I bought this used on Amazon for $1100.

Next year when the sequel comes out and this fold is available used for $500 I’m buying one for sure, just for the satellite feature alone for off roading. But I wouldn’t want this as my primary phone since it’s too damn big. I like leaving my iPhone mini in my pocket and I don’t want to always take my phone out and lay it on the table

Most of the same observations. Agree whole heartedly on the Google search bar especially with Gemini.
I am using it as my main but will likely go back to the 9 Pro or S24U. The Fold is a bit on the large/heavy side. I’ll use it as my alternate/backup.

I am keeping mine. Hoping for a few more foldable accommodating apps (inside screen).

Is 128GB enough on a Pixel as that seems to be where the best deals are on the Pixel 9 models on Amazon especially as far as monthly payments go? I wish Google would start their base models with more storage.

For my experience it’s like the iPhone 128gb. If you pay for online storage then yes but it’s monthly or an annual bill to upload videos and media off the phone. I guess you can always off load it to usb c but these days that’s not a habit I heard people do to manage their phones storage limits.

I would pass on 128gb, pics and videos would make the storage full quickly if you use the camera. If your a light user, only streaming, some loaded songs, and not into taking pictures then 128gb would work.

I bought base model before and I always regret it (iPhone 8plus, MacBook Air).

The saying buy once cry once applies to me.

i bought a used iPhone 13 mini with 512gb it’s pretty nice having this much storage.

I am regretting not getting the 256 9 pro xl. The 128 GB gets tight if you take a lot of photos. I did a full reset for Android 15, and sent all the photos to the cloud. With just the OS, and my bare minimum set of apps for life it only has about 65GB free.

I never intended it to be my daily driver, but I liked it so much that it has been since launch.

It does come with one year of the 2 TB plan, so it is easy enough to offload the photos.
