I am regretting not getting the 256 9 pro xl. The 128 GB gets tight if you take a lot of photos. I did a full reset for Android 15, and sent all the photos to the cloud. With just the OS, and my bare minimum set of apps for life it only has about 65GB free.

I never intended it to be my daily driver, but I liked it so much that it has been since launch.

It does come with one year of the 2 TB plan, so it is easy enough to offload the photos.
I have a MBA 15in 256gb with 16gb of ram for the last 1.5 years ever since it came out and I wish I went with higher storage maybe 1tb. There's Best Buy deals now and it might be good to swap it to 1tb.... by once cry once.

Man major battery drain all of a sudden the past week or so.

I haven't changed any settings or installed any new apps lately.

I typically have my phone on my nightstand while I sleep, off the charger and wake up to maybe the battery going down 5% to 10% overnight, but recently the phone is down to 20% or last night phone died with 0% battery life.

Yesterday at work, started off the workday with 90% battery, barely used the phone, and in the afternoon got a notification that battery saver is on at 20%. What? How the heck did my battery drop so fast, and from what?

how come no is talking how poor G4 tensor is

I'm a diehard Nexus and Pixel phone guy, but man I'm getting fed up with the mediocre to poor battery life. Yes the Pixel 8 Pro last year had better battery life than older Pixel's, and the 9 Pro XL seems even better, but holy cow it can be inconsistent and not always good battery life.

Makes me almost want to switch to an iPhone 16 Pro Max for the solid battery life. But overall my 9 Pro XL I've had since launch has given me pretty good battery life overall, it's just been this past week or so it's taken a nosedive

I’ll bite.

Because it’s not. Least performant of the flagship phones doesn’t make it a bad SOC. It wasn’t designed to blitz benchmark tests.

In day to day use I notice zero difference between my P9 Pro or iPhone 16 Pro!

Have you got a Pixel 9?

Just depends. I use my 9 Pro and 9 Pro Fold for a week plus and drop back to my S24 Ultra. The Ultra is definitely faster for most things, especially when you are in an app.

Because no one here cares about phone wars. We're not 12 year olds.

Wait until we start seeing Snapdragon X Elite figures once Samsung rolls out next year's devices. Seems promising so far.

Wish Google would add the non-reflective coating that Samsung has to its Pixel lineup.
Very noticeable difference.

In order:
S24 Ultra, 9 Pro Fold, 9 Pro, 15 ProMax.

No issues with the battery running perfectly since the first day I picked up the phone. Took it off the charger 4:45 a.m. now 8:32 p.m. and I'm at 57% including two car rides with Waze and music streaming phone calls and a lot of notifications emails etc.

That is really cool. In my opinion, that is a good example of innovation. Others should do it too.

For every day tasks it is more than enough. Not only Tensor 4, but for everyday browsing, notes, calendar, and the usual tasks even the Snapdragon 730G in my Pixel 4a is enough.

But you would think that it being weaker than its competitors would mean that they focused on efficiency instead. But they did not. It is weaker, and less efficient too.

I disagree, in my experience my pixel 9 pro battery life is most excellent, over 4 hours of SOT and still have 50% battery life remaining.

Have to disagree on that. Using both the 9 Pro and 9 Pro Fold. I generally have to quick charge them at least late afternoon to evening. Their battery efficiency is not any better than any other phone I have ( I have several) and not as good as my S24 Ultra or 15 ProMax. Maybe it will improve as Android 15 evolves.

And I will disagree with it not being as good as my iPhone 15 Pro Max because it's hanging with it daily

You can’t disagree with my experience!
