Interesting. I have not experienced this. I've used the Pixel watch for the last several days with no issues either with the watch or phone. It feels like my phone dies way faster with my Pixel watch, anything I can do about that?

I took the $900 trade in for the Fold 4. While the Pixel watch is rather dainty on my large wrist, I'm hanging onto it as I prefer the way it works with the Fold over my Samsung Watch 5 Pro and I really do like the UI Google has implemented with it.Just ordered one after spending all night reading up on the device. I couldn't get over how great the form factor felt in hand after playing around with it in person. 90% of my usage is on the front screen and I typically use my Fold 4 unfolded when traveling or longing around (which is almost never) but I love ha ing the option. Also, although the S pen is such a cool feature I really never use so don't think I'd be missing out much on it.
Damn thing is expensive tho guess I'll be selling the Pixel watch, Fold 4, and my Apple Watch ultra to finance this thing.
Sadly the trade in for a Fold 4 is now $450ish so need to sell elsewhere. I use a Garmin so should be able to recoup some $$ from the Pixel Watch.I took the $900 trade in for the Fold 4. Also debating selling my 14 Pro Max to cover the remainder of the cost of the Fold. That one is going to be hard to part with. While not my favorite device there is still a lot that I like about it.
It's actually not a bad watch. Turning on battery saver mode has made it more than usable for me. Still hope Google invests more in the hardware on the next version but I do kind of like this device now.Yes stop using that watch
Yikes, that trade in value dropped fast. You could probably still sell it for a couple hundred more than that.Sadly the trade in for a Fold 4 is now $450ish so need to sell elsewhere. I use a Garmin so should be able to recoup some $$ from the Pixel Watch.
Order originally showed delivery this week now pushed to mid-August...hope I don't change my mind!
Keeping my 14PM as well..always like to have an iphone handy.
If it wasn't so small I would open the box and try it.. I don't have big wrist but don't like small watches...It's actually not a bad watch. I tried Twitter from the chrome link by downloading the app but unfortunately all my notifications in the notification drop down were coming in separate and not bunch together like the Twitter app I don't know if you want to check and test on your own as wellFound a semi-fix / workaround for apps that don't go full screen on the Pixel Fold.
For those who are interested, you can make your own 'app' right from Chrome for almost any website and everyone I've tried opens full screen.
The website will now show as an app on your home screen. Tapping on it will open full screen. Some websites will open in chrome (bummer) but some will open, look and behave just like a normal app in full screen mode.
- Open the website in Chrome
- Tap the 3 dot menu in upper right hand corner
- Tap Add to Home Screen
- Name it
- Save
Try it and see. Twitter is a very good example as it looks just like a full screen app.
It's not a prefect solution but it works. You can keep both 'apps' installed and use the official app for notifications only. I don't have notifications on as I don't really care about them for twitter.I tried Twitter from the chrome link by downloading the app but unfortunately all my notifications in the notification drop down were coming in separate and not bunch together like the Twitter app I don't know if you want to check and test on your own as well
I like the idea of moving to an iphone with physical sim. The esim is a nightmare for people like us lol.Yikes, that trade in value dropped fast. You could probably still sell it for a couple hundred more than that.
I'll probably hold on to my 13PM and sell the 14PM. Easier to do sim swaps and not have to deal with e-sim. I always keep an iPhone handy as well and that won't change even though I prefer android.
Yes definitely thank you for sharing with everyone.. I have a lot of notifications coming through from Twitter especially from sneaker releases and stuff that I don't want to miss I'm always in first on a lot of stuff that I could resell.. lolIt's not a prefect solution but it works. But yeah, I can see where that would be an issue for some even more so depending on the app. The twitter web 'app' looks MUCH better when used in tablet mode though. Kind of a pick your poison type thing until app developers get on board with foldables.
Twitter... Instagram.. Reddit.. Threads are a few that I know don't use the tablet mode wellI like the idea of moving to an iphone with physical sim. The esim is a nightmare for people like us lol.
Is there any type of running list of apps that don't work well in tablet mode on the Pixel Fold? I don't have much of a sample size on the Samsung fold but all the apps I use seem to position well in tablet mode.
How’s the beta treating ya? Thinking about taking the plunge this morningLet’s get this work day going …reception seems to be good in office which is usually a low signal area …though we shall see on battery …
It's been great for me ..only a few times in certain apps the notification area will overlap on top of the app but not really causing any harm with interactions ... everything has been smooth otherwise..How’s the beta treating ya? Thinking about taking the plunge this morning
That looks like Bloomburg terminal! I haven't seen one of those in a while! I work for a finanncial company in Cyber security. Are you a broker?Let’s get this work day going …reception seems to be good in office which is usually a low signal area …though we shall see on battery …

I see you are running 14 Beta.. I considered running it but it's my one and only device and I don't want any major issues.Let’s get this work day going …reception seems to be good in office which is usually a low signal area …though we shall see on battery …

How has 14 been for you on the Fold? Any serious issues?
Thanks, one last question.I've had no wishes whatsoever except like I mentioned on the post earlier a few apps I saw the status bar overlap a little bit but it only happened a couple times and has not been an issue with using the app but more cosmetic... All my other apps are working properly I don't see anything misbehaving...
It installed over 13 without a wipe ...if you want to leave beta for non beta build I believe that is when a wipe is needed ...Thanks, one last question.
The last time I installed an Android Beta I think it factory reset the device and I needed to do a complete reinstall of everything, including logging back in to apps and websites which was a massive PIA..
Did 14 install over 13 or did you need to do a complete reset?
Thanks. Enrolled and downloading it now..It installed over 13 without a wipe ...if you want to leave beta for non beta build I believe that is when a wipe is needed ...
