They will make two sku's like the Note 4.

You'll have the GS6. and the GS6 Edge which will be the niche version.

Oh. Yeah they should be looking to minimize the number of "flagship" devices, not double them, lol.

Impressive!

If they also optimized TouchWiz and got rid of all the bloat as the rumours suggest, then it's going to be an incredibly fast phone.

The only disappointment is 3GB of RAM. Should've been 4, but I guess they're saving that for Note 5.

Not really disappointing. If they 'truly' have optimised Touchwiz as much as HTC did with Sense - they can bring memory / ram usage in line with stock android - then 4gb would have been a total overkill.

I feared if the 4gb was true, then Touchwiz would likely not get the ground up reworking that it really needs and Samsung would just resort to their usual tactic of using power & specs to bully their through the OS (resulting in a sometimes choppy / hiccups / delayed gui) rather than truly optimise it as it needs.

3gb confirmed (or as confirmed as any rumour gets) gives me hope that Touchwiz may indeed be finally getting sorted, however I'll still wait to see for myself before getting too optimistic.

I agree that with the 3GB size they would be more inclined to optimize, but 4GB would definitely not go to waste, even with an optimized system, it'd just work better, especially Chrome. Imagine rarely having to refresh tabs!

In fairness with lollipop the way chrome handles tabs / multitasking - having lots of tabs open = resulting lots of windows in multitasking - does drive me nuts now, so I rarely have more than 1 or 2 tabs open. :)

But yeah especially on a samsung device - having less refreshing for anything is something I'm really hoping for this year.

You know you can revert back to the old way Chrome worked, right? It's in Chrome's options.

Galaxy s6 just posted an antutu bench score and broke 60,000 points!

Best part is the screek size 5.1 inch so they kept it the same size as the gs5 but went qhd

Benchmarking is great and all but real world use is far more valuable. Samsung has had terrific benchmark results in the past but too often, real world use doesn't live up to those results. I'll wait for some real hands on use experiences before getting excited for any device.

Agreed.... They need to transition those scores into a nice seamless user experience. Hopefully this time they listened to all the negative TW feedback and optimized it.
I am cautiously optimistic.

I'm curious, does the note 4 suffer the same lag or un-finessed user experience that the galaxy s5 suffers from?

Gotcha. Thanks for the replies.

I'm quite smitten with my Android experience on the OnePlus, and in 2015, may look toward the Note 5 as an upgrade, though like others, I do hope TouchWiz is optimized and/or scaled back. Hopefully they can do this without losing any of the extra goodies/features that make the Note 5 so special.
