GTX680 4GB - ROM Image - Full Boot Screens, Full Clock Rates & PCI-E 2.0 - 5GT/s

I picked up an EVGA 680 FTW and flashed it with the ROM on this thread. Using it with a 27" Cinema Display plugged in with a DP -> MDP adapter.
I'm getting boot screens, but they're at the wrong resolution. Probably 640x480. PRAM reset hasn't helped. Has anyone else seen this? When I had a DVI display plugged in earlier I didn't have this issue.

When the driver starts everything becomes fine. It automatically picks the full resolution for the display. Even if I manually set the resolution in System Preferences, it still doesn't boot with the right resolution. The boot picker and the Apple logo are all stretched out.

Please help me..after a week searching through internet for my questions, I decided to post here to get some answers.
I have a Mac Pro 3.1 early 2008 with OS X 10.8.5
I want to upgrade my Graphic Card to a Gigabyte Geforce GTX 680 OC 2gb.. pc card
My questions are.
1) Is it safe for my Mac Pro? It uses 6+8 pins..the specification of the says 500watt..and I know that Mac gives 225..
2) If it's safe will I use mini pcie 2x6 to 6 Pins power cables or 1x6 to 6 and 1x6 to 8?
3) Where I can find the links for newbie to flash its bios with in detail instructions?
4) I will buy this card for 180 euros....think that it's better to order a ready-flashed Video Card through Amazon or ebay?

Hello , please help . I followed procedure to flash EVGA gtx 680 4gb but i have problem with READ BIOS with Kepler Tweaker . It can not read Bios nor it can Flash Bios . I am getting Error during start in Command Prompt . Gtx 680 is in slot 3 and Gtx nvidia 9500Gt is in slot 1 .
I am getting this alert in Command Prompt :

I'm not familiar with that error, but I don't think you should be using that utility with two Nvidia cards installed at the same time. Remove the 9500GT.

I am still stacked on the same place . I pulled out Gt120 (9500GT) and i am still getting same ERROR
Help. Trying to Flash my EVGA FTW 4GB GTX 680. When I hit the flash bios button I get a PCi Subsystem ID Mismatch error. Anyone else have this issue? How do I resolve it.

Hah, problem solved . I did not copied two drivers (32bit,64bit) for NVFLASH to the same folder with ROM file. That was the reason for ERROR : Enable to setup NVflash Driver (0000002) . Thanks everyone !
After scouring the web I located a modded rom file for the 4GB version of the card. Its obviously the rom from the 2GB Mac card, same one thats been posted here on Mac Rumors. Version number and date are identical. However its been modified to work with the 4GB card. So I flashed my cards, one at a time to be safe, and low and behold I have my beautiful EFI boot screens back. Didnt really know how much I missed them but so glad to have them back.
At this point theres only one issue. My stock speeds of 1085MHz GPU & 1150MHz Boost have now dropped to 1006MHz GPU & 1059MHz Boost. These are the stock 2GB reference card values. Boooo .
I spent several hours combing through the hex of the rom in an attempt to locate the errant bits. Although familiar with hacking hex its a process that is tedious and can make your head hurt and eyes cross after a few hours. So I took a break and turned to scouring the web again for Nvidia Rom Hacking information. I found on a German web site a wonderful win utility with GUI for editing the clock speeds and several other parameters of the BIOS imbedded in the rom. Kepler BIOS Tweaker v1.25.exe
Heres what I didnt know. Will both the BIOS section and EFI section of the rom need edits to restore my clock speeds? I figure probably yes. This was a Windows utility to edit the BIOS so I thought at best Id have my clock speeds restored in Windows but still have the slower clocks when in OS X.
I did the edit to both cards restoring my clocks to 1085MHz & 1150MHz and wrote the roms back to the cards. Rebooting to windows showed my clocks back to normal. Now booting to OS X was the surprise. The clocks are now back to the higher speeds in OS X as well! So the EFI needs no edit only the BIOS.
These cards are working awesome, full boot screens, full clock speeds & PCI-E 2.0. Just as if you walked in an Apple Store and pulled them off the shelf. (If you could )

The rom is just as I found it with reference card speeds. But you can tweak it with the included utilities.

I don't think anyone maintains a list, but there are plenty of posts in this thread where people have confirmed one card or another so if you stick with one of those you should be fine.

But whatever you do, don't use Moonshot's ROMs that he posted there. They don't work as he claims.
Ok I've just installed Ubuntu and my founding are interesting!!!
- with the nouveau driver ALL PORTS WORKS !
- with the nvidia driver the second DVI port work now, but the first one don't !!

I got the BIOS that is listed at the first page of this thread, got all the software. I changed all the clock speeds using the tweaker to 1110/1176/3004 as well as every single value that I copied from my current bios on GPU by default. Still cannot flash it...
Did anyone have a luck flashing the classy version of 680 GTX? If so, please, reply or if possible share your bios rom.
Also, I currently have 2 of the 680s running in SLI in my PC. Should I disconnect one?
