I would give it time like others have said.

On a side note, I have noticed a reduction in battery performance on my existing 12 Pro, might be an issue or glitch with 16.0/16.0.1.

One thing to note too, I forget where I read this but there was something mentioning a reduction in battery that was solved by disabling the weather widgets from the lock screen. Personally I like having it there but apparently, it is always updating and gathering location information, definitely worth a shot disabling it if you have it active.
I hadn’t seen that about the weather widget. Thanks I’ll give it a shot and see 👍🏼

This exact topic is a frustration for me every year because I way overthink this. Always had the Plus phones since the 6, with the X obviously only one choice. Went back to the Max with the XS but started hating the size. Tried the 12 Pro but battery was horrendous, so ended up with the 12 Pro Max. With the 13 series I went with the Pro Max and then switched a few months later but again it came down to battery and I switched back to the Pro Max only a month after that. I have the 14 Pro Max now but also picked up a 14 Pro as well. I may keep both and just switch between them as I see fit. I really feel like a 6.3-6.4” screen size from Apple would be a really good sweet spot.
How do you switch with this e sim? Like the idea 😀

Oh this is good to know. I figured the first few hours were heavy on the battery due to backups or indexing or whatever, and I thought that’s over with. But you’re saying it might take a few days to “normalize”?
I think that’s true in most cases. Although there seems to be a (rough) consensus that battery life took a step back from the 13 Pro.

Normal pro, still too heavy for me. Minor regret is not ordering black or purple, the cameras look weird AF on the silver. Even though I love everything else about the color.

It’s funny I’ve been on this end twice now.
12 pro had worse battery than my old 11 pro. Didn’t buy 13P, and now 14 pro has lesser than 13P lol

Yep, I’ve actually been looking at anecdotes about the battery life of the 14 Pros vs the 13 Pros just now. Gotta say I’m surprised and slightly puzzled as to why Apple thought that was a good idea.

Actually easier than it used to be having to find a SIM eject tool before. I have Verizon so I don’t know if the process differs for other carriers, but you go into settings > cellular > add cellular on the phone that isn’t active and then it gives me the option to transfer my phone number and then a pop-up comes up on the active phone to confirm transfer. Takes less than a minute.

I concur on the weight thing but it seems extenuated by the weight being distributed unevenly (due to the camera?).

Battery is actually bigger though…it’s just AOD reducing the life compared to last year’s.

I’ve thought about this but was wondering how it works. I did it before back with the 6 and 6 Plus. But I just switched SIM cards.

True. Bigger battery, efficient cpu, and the modem is also efficient. Only reasons I see for lower battery are higher brightness of the display and the always on display. At least on paper.
I had a new rear system on my 12Pro so new battery and I don’t really see too much of a difference so far in battery life.

And you don’t get whacked with like 10 activation fees for swapping from one to the other on weekends?

Interesting approach. If I ever wanted to dive back into my 12 pro for jb reasons

I find the 14 PM too heavy however I love the AOD and dynamic island is useful. So overall I’m happy. Would love the 14 Plus with AOD and DI.

Switched from a 6.7" Android to the Pro. The pro is bigger than I expected and feels perfect for the size of my hand. The battery's surprisingly good too. Happy here :)

I have the pro and like it but as every year I have an eye on the one I did not choose!

I am curious how people who went 13pm to 14pm are finding it? If the specs are correct then the 14pm is narrower, wondering how noticeable that is?
