Why do people keep saying the screen is bigger on the ultra, it isn't. screen size is 1164mm2 compared to 1143mm2 on the 45mm that's a 1.8% difference, you really can't call that meaningfully bigger.
True that it’s not a huge increase, but I’ve read elsewhere on this forum that it allows for an extra line of content. That may not sound significant but I can see it making a meaningful difference in some cases (no pun intended 😅)

I am happy with my 14pro and 14 pro max. 14pro replaced my IP 11 and 14pro max replaced my 13pro max. The 14pro max doesn't feel like a huge upgrade as most have said. Feels like the old S model upgrade. I just always want the latest and greatest so I set my expectations to that. If they release a ip15 next year will snag that as well. The 14pro is a huge upgrade from my 11, which is my work phone.

Things I don't love or have noticed with 14pm is the battery life is still sorting itself out. It does not last as long as my 13pm did but hopefully, its all just part of the indexing that is still going on. But bit disappointed so far in the battery life. Dynamic island is cool. Getting used to it but the notch never bothered me I noticed the dynamic island a lot more than I noticed the notch. I don't watch a ton of videos on my phone, but when in landscape mode, you def notice it and its a bit of an eye sore. I have been running IOS16 since the beta was released to developers. So used to the UX with IOS16 and runs smoothly on the 14pm. I am excited to see where apple takes things with IOS. Already have some new UI enhancements with IOS16 beta 2, like battery icon drain and a few other tweaks.

I am happy cause I am an early adopter but am I blown away no. But I didn't expect to be. :)

Yah i am keeping both. I have 600 gigs of data on my 14pm so It takes like a week or so to fully restore and index so hopefully i will see my battery life improve by next week.

I switched from the Pro Max to a Pro with the iPhone 12. I'd always had the Plus models and defaulted to the Max, but the reality is Apple haven't done anything with the additional screen size. There are a few additional lines of text and that sold me on it, but I then found I only read the top quarter of the screen and keep scrolling as I read, so that benefit disappeared.

If Apple ever introduce more display and usability differences that take advantage of the screen size, I think I'll jump back. For now, the smaller and more pocketable size is nice to have, so I'm happy with my 14 Pro.

Very happy with my 14 Pro and love the always on display. Kind of wish I had picked purple instead of black but I'll survive.

I switched from a 13 Pro Max to a 14 Pro and while I absolutely can’t deny how nice it feels to hold the phone sometimes, I’m not sure I will keep it.

I actually find it harder to type on the smaller phone as I still type with two hands and there is less room to type.

I also notice that my hands seem like they are cramping a bit when typing since the phone is so small.

I’m really not sure. I have some time so I’m going to keep trying to adjust. I really do love the form factor of this thing, but it is significantly smaller than the pro max in hand.

Normal pro, still too heavy for me. Minor regret is not ordering black or purple, the cameras look weird AF on the silver. Even though I love everything else about the color.
The cameras look amazing on the silver phone.

I actually switched to silver this year and it’s a beautiful phone. Very classy.

Obviously we all have different preferences but I don’t like when the camera bumps just get lost in the phone. Contrast on the silver looks great.

I jumped up from a 13 Pro to a 14 Pro Max and I’m blown away by how little the size difference affected me. I’d say I have average sized hands and while it’s not a one handed phone 100% of the time, I find myself using Reachability or shifting my grip to perform the same tasks as I was on the 13 Pro.

Love the size, love the color, love Dynamic Island and Focus Modes. Just a very happy camper all around.

intriguing... so you will use the pro in certain situations, and the max too?

That’s true. The pro is kind of but not actually a one hand device for me so pro max isn’t that much more inconvenient

Even Apple not using the huge size to the best of its advantage the bigger screen and roomier menus and webpages and content makes it feel better

My 12 pro looks cramped now a bit, for just one size down

The mini is still awesome in my eyes because it is comfortable and a one hand phone

That’s been mentioned to me regarding the move up from the 12 Mini. She seems to be taking to the new one nicely but the weight has been discussed.

Yeah I’ve been buying silver for 3 years now for this reason. The size is getting too much is all

I bought the iPhone 14 Pro and was going to trade in my iPhone 13 mini..... I just couldn't deal with the huge phone feeling going from a mini to 6.1" so I returned the iPhone 14 Pro and kept my 13 mini 🤣 Felt too damn big and heavy! Those cameras feel like paper weights!

I had this experience as well. The 14 Pro was great to hold and do things like swiping gestures. And though I could type one handed on it (as well as my 13 PM) it’s still a two handed device. So then I’m still using two hands, but now with less space to type, and finger crowding on the back.

Not sure. I’m primarily a one-handed user, so the ergonomics of the Pro is miles better than the Pro Max for me, and I think I’m generally a lot happier with this size. However, I do wish for more battery life and a bigger screen would be nice, just not sure if it’s worth the daily cost of having to deal with a massive phone.

My local Apple Store also seems to not be getting any new stock of Pro Maxes, so I don’t know how I’d switch without waiting weeks in between returning my Pro and getting the Pro Max. I also already paid for a case and screen protector for the Pro, would have to buy new ones for the Pro Max, and spend another $100 to upgrade. So I’ll probably stick with the Pro given I’m not sure the bigger battery is even worth the ergonomics.

I had the same issue... my hands are too big, and I simply don't do well, with the pro phone as much as I would want one, therefore ended up with a 14PM, no more mistakes, super fast, beautiful device!

but you get those pics, better battery, better screen :)!!

I made a decision, keeping the pro max and have packed up the pro to send back.

Hard decision, the bigger screen won out and I think as I had the standard pro last year I fancied a change. I had the 12PM so maybe I go a year on each size 😂

Yes they are scarce!
Yesterday was the Max day for Lehigh Valley PA. Today I have the money and had a Max but got the VZW Policy Error. Thinking it may take time for VZW and Apple Systems to communicate I paid my 13PM off

The 256 Purple Pro is taunting me. It's been there for a long time for a Pro, and is the color and capacity. Just not sure if I want to switch down from Max :)
