I chose the best of the best with the Pro Max because I wanted the extra battery and great camera coming from a 12. Then I realized how big and heavy it was once I got a case on it, and decided I might have chosen wrong. Visited T-Mobile today and they told me the Pro delivery is at November for the earliest. I think I'll just stick with the PM and get used to it. I'll see how I feel about the added weight in a year. Other than the size, this phone is a real piece of art and I'm happy to have it. Can't wait to get some pictures with it.

At first I really liked the size/weight of the 14 Pro, but after using it for a few days I’m thinking of switching to the 14 Pro Max. The Pro seems like it may be a little too big to fully use with one hand but not quite big enough to use with two hands. It still feels hefty to me so if that’s going to be the case I’d rather get a bigger screen and better battery life. Plus I’m noticing that I’m having to hold the phone closer than I did with the 13 PM so it seems like my eyes would prefer the larger screen.
This is actually a great take...I got the 14 Pro Max coming from the 13 Pro and literally went back to my 13 Pro for the day and noticed this...These phones are meant for two handed use regardless and people don't even realize it. Probably sticking with this 14 Pro Max beast!

exactly what I did... love it!

I am currently still have the 11 pro max. How does the size and weight compare from that to the 14 pro max? I assume it will be quite a bit heavier with that 12/13/14 pro design alone vs the 11 design.
for me the 14 PM is a bit bunker than the 11 PM but not significantly so.. I just figure if you put a big phone in your pocket what's another few cm?

Well I was delighted with the 14 Pro Max until today when I realized my right wrist and hand were hurting. ☹️ Time to hit the gym!

On the positive side, this monster has the right heft to work as an excellent bludgeon against muggers!

I’ve got some adhesive rings due to arrive soon. That should help me handle this phone. It’s what I use on my Pixel 6 Pro and my S22 Ultra cases and helps a lot.

In the pockets of my mom jeans it’s not so bad. But if I lose a couple of pounds I’m going to need a belt. And I hate belts so that’s not gonna happen. This phone definitely pulls down on my jeans. It’s a good excuse to eat a donut. But then my Apple Watch will be so disappointed in me. Sigh.

Getting back to those muggers, iJustine has a special case for us Pro Max owners…

I was thinking of upgrading from the Apple Watch Series 6 to the Ultra but after watching some reviews on it today, it seems that the ultra is only really worth the cost if you are someone who the watch is really targeted towards. Meaning those people who do extreme activities like Scuba diving etc.

For the average user, reviews say the series 8 fits most users' needs ( including mine). So I most likely will just stick with the series 8 if I do upgrade watches.

The Ultra definitely isn’t geared towards me, but I ordered it anyway, for the bigger screen, longer battery life, and because I was ready to upgrade my S4. I keep my watches for 4 years, so I can see myself holding onto my Ultra until the S11 or S12 series launch.

So the issue comes down for me is the fact the pro max is so large it is impossible to go one handed you have to use two hands and I do not like that. I had a 11 Pro and was happy with the size so I stuck with the 14 Pro but increased the storage on it to 512 GB. I got the Pro and passed up on the Pro Max.

The series 7 is the bargain right now if you can get one. I got an 'as new' one from Amazon £150 less than a new S8. YMMV but they are basically the same watch.

If your hands/wrist are hurting from holding a max, easy solution is just put it down occasionally, swap to a smaller phone will just ruin your eyes, choose your poison lol

This is a good point, the standard pro is not a true one-handed phone for sure when it comes to things like typing but it can be held and used more comfortably most of the time.

For me the biggest area where the standard pro might edge it is carrying the thing, less of an issue soon as we move into Autumn and Winter but not to be ignored and then for me at least use on the move, I think I already said this on another post/thread but if I am walking I am far more comfortable using the standard pro whereas with the max I might hesitiate and wait until I stop moving before I take it out of my pocket. I rarely use a case BTW

I am using the max right now and trying to decide between the 2!

Went from a 12PM to a 14 Pro and couldn't be happier. I love this little dude. Can finally hold and navigate the whole phone with just one hand (I have long fingers lol). The 12PM was like a brick in my hand, while this phone is a smooth little stone. I literally always had a dent in my little finger from the bottom edge of the 12PM haha, I'm so glad I don't have to balance my phone like that anymore. I can now rest my finger under the huge camera bump instead. Also, the space black is just gorgeous! Yes, the battery life is not as amazing as with a Max phone, but it still gets me through a whole day just fine. And I'm loving the 120Hz display. The 60Hz of the 12PM now look sorta clunky to me.

That’s exactly the issue I was having with the smaller phone was eye strain and always squinting!

It will always be the Pro Max for me. The bigger, the better. Ordered the Watch Ultra, too. Can’t wait for the huge watch face.

Except the Ultra doesn't have a bigger watch face, the display itself is 1.8% bigger than the 45mm of the series 7/8.

Why do people keep saying the screen is bigger on the ultra, it isn't. screen size is 1164mm2 compared to 1143mm2 on the 45mm that's a 1.8% difference, you really can't call that meaningfully bigger.

I bought the 14 Pro and I'm very happy. Moved from the 11 Pro and it's slightly bigger, and is just about right for me. Very happy with my decision!
