Has anyone received a MacBook Pro with a 2.6 chip yet

My 2.6/250/hi-res still says "not yet shipped," but my credit card available balance decreased by the appropriate amount, so looks like they pre-authorized. Things are moving. Still says shipping by 11/22.

well I called the new Hampshire store and they dont think its possible. Must order online.
 
Just ordered my MBP with BTO option 2.6ghz C2D & 250 5400rpm drive; just got the conformation email:

Ships by:Nov 23 - Nov 27
Delivers by:Nov 27 - Nov 30

[ I opt'd for the 2-3 day express shipping]

I wonder how long orders usually stay on the "prepared for shipment" stage? I mean if it is prepared, that means they just have to ship it out. Cant take too long to ship it out.
 
Ordered mine on Nov. 17th: 2.6 GHz and 200GB @ 7200. I even bit the bullet maxed out the memory through Apple. Overpriced, but I've had so many problems with my current computer (Toshiba A70 with Class Action Lawsuit Upgrade Package) that paying a premium to have everything under one apple care system warranty seems worth it.

Ships between Nov. 26-Nov. 28. Delivery by December 3rd. There shall be much rejoicing.

I ordered mine on the 4th of Nov! and it's still not shipped yet...
It's a 17inch screen with the 200 gig HD.

Rtalex? you ordered your on the 3rd didn't you? is it a 17inch screen?

I cannot sit still...damnit!

I ordered on the 3rd, however it is not a 17 inch, its the 15 2.6 with the 220gig 7200rpm.

I cant sit still either!!!
 
Didn't buy the 2.6Ghz option but went for the 250gb 5400 drive... which seemed to give the same lead time.

Mine has now been delivered :) Even tho Apple had my delivery date at 5th December :rolleyes:

Right, off to restore from time machine!
 
sweet mine just shipped too! Supposed to be delivered on the 26th!

Now Im just hoping it gets delivered in the morning! We have no patience around here lol.
 
yes baby, mine is now prepared for shippment. Its a 17" screen. Was supposed to ship on the 26th... ;)
 
Oh yeah btw they appear to still come with the drop-in DVD. I thought they'd have put it as a standard build on their BTO laptops by now.

Oh man I am kinda annoyed.
I ordered the 17inch 2.6 with 200gig 7200 RPG on November 1 at 5am. Mine shows no change in order status.

Just to confirm you got the 17 inch with 2.6? When did you order it?
 
That's weird. I got the same configuration as yours. It's a 2.6, 17" matte high rez, 2 gig of ram, with the 200 gig HD. No software installed. I ordered on the 4th of Nov and have a 2 days delivery.

I find it strange that Fluffy.fearless's screenshot of his "prepared for shipment" (at the bottom of page 2 of this thread) shows the full config for his computer. "MPB 15/2.6/2x1BG/200GBHDD/ect..." whereas mine only shows "MBP 17/2.4 CTO" and I have to click on show all to actually read a 2.6 proc. It just makes me wonder if they did not screw my order... Anyway.. I should probably chill. after such a long wait... It's just not healthy.. ;)

Mine is the same although I have the Glossy 17 inch.

By the time I get this thing, it's gonna be December. I could wait one more month and get the new ones. Maybe better to cancel since Apple has drug this on so long and wait 30 days to get the brand new ones.

It's the 'drop-in' DVD. Which I believe does both? As otherwise if you had a hardware fault surely you'd be in a hard place?

It was at 10.4.10, now waiting to see if I get the dreaded freezing keyboard thang.
 
You guys got me excited seeing that some orders have shipped. Unfortunately mine still says "Not yet shipped".

I ordered a MBP 15, 2.6, 250GB HD, 2GB, glossy on Nov 7th and it still says:

Ships by: Nov 28
Delivers by: Dec 4

Like may others this is my 1st mac and I can 't wait!

Mine said "MBP 15/2.4 CTO" at first, actually... It said that from the time I ordered all the way until the day the status changed to "prepared for shipping", at which time it changed to the "MBP 15/2.6/2x1GB/200GBHDD" thing...

And gadgetfreaky, mine's a 15.4"...

The estimate says it'll arrive by the 26th.... which really sucks... but... what can you do? Right now it's in or leaving China... woot.

this is excruciating. Oh well... it'll all be worth it by monday...
 
My 15"/2.6/2GB/200GB 7200 rpm shipped earlier today (headed towards UK)

It was saying not yet shipped for ages and then suddenly changed to prepared for shipment at around midnight, then shipped at around 4pm today. A lot quicker then the estimated 26th shipment date! Hopefully i should now receive it by the 26/27th. Now all i need is a consignment #.

I'm assuming most 2.6 shipments will be rolling out in the next day or so, so for anyone waiting dont give up hope yet. I was convinced mine wouldnt ship until the 26th but im glad it looks like apple are ahead of schedule.
 
Mine has not shipped (still says MBP 15 CTO and Not Yet Shipped), but in the ultimate act of cruelty, the case I ordered with it will be delivered today.

My first mac case, but no first mac to go in it :(

I did not receive an email when it changed to "prepared to ship" Only received an email when it actually shipped with a tracking #


I did not select the quicker shipping option...i should of...this wait is killing me.

I wonder how long it will take to go from Shanghai to Houston, TX.....I got a ship quote from fedex.com and it said if it shipped today it would get here this friday. But that seems too fast.

Do you know who they are shipping through (FedEX, UPS, DHL???) Did they already provide you a tracking number???

I can't wait for mine!
