Has anyone received a MacBook Pro with a 2.6 chip yet

The apple email I recieved saying it shipped and will be delivered by the 26th with a tracking #. I was so happy because I do not have to work the 26th. But I have been traking it via Fedex and now it says it will be delivered by the 27th 10:30am : (

I was really hoping it would come on the 26th...I hope some how it still comes on monday.

Not quite. I always had the 2.4 CTO message, and it always showed 2.6 if you click on the "show configuration" link.

This didn't change, even though I am now "prepared for shipping":

If you go to this page - http://cgi.tnt.co.uk/trackntrace/trackntrace.asp and click on "click here to track your international consignments" and set it as your reference number (rather then consignment number) it should hopefully show you your tracking info, as it did for me.

My MBP left Shanghai a coulpe of hours ago! Finger crossed for a monday delivery!

I was about to post to say that I may be the last person here to receive their MBP, but then I hit refresh on the status page and I am "Prepared for Shipment" - can't imagine how happy this makes me. I have to have a laptop to use, but was hoping to give the one I am currently on to my sister-in-law. Needed to get the LCD replaced before Christmas, and think I will definitely be able to do it knowing I will be getting my computer a little earlier than expected.
 
Mine left achorage, AK at 1:45 as well!!!

It still says est. delivery the 27th before 10:30am....I really hope it gets here on the 26 cuz im off that day.
 
Just checked the apple store.

2-4 days for 2.6Ghz + 200Gb BTO.

I guess Apple was just accumulating the orders and shipping them in one batch.

If you order now it takes less time than if you ordered it 1 week ago :confused:

Mine still says left origin Shanghai, CN
 
I think some of us are part of a second or third batch to leave changhai. I chose a 2 day delivery and the computer is still "left origin" shanghai, or in transit, that's been for a bit more than 12 hours though....
 
Good news on MBP 2.6 shipping

I was scheduled to built by Dec 5 and shipped by Dec 11. I had placed the order on Nov 13, late evening EST. I received an email this morning confirming that it had shipped. Great news since I decided to just go ahead and order the bonus 2g memory from Ram-jet.

Just checking, Ram-jet is one of the reputable Apple memory retailers?

With a functioning version of Office and SPSS, I'll be able to meet all my business software needs on my Mac. I hope everyone else in December que is getting a pleasant surprise from Apple this morning.
 
My Laptop is currently in TN and almost to its new happy home in Houston, TX. FED EX says delivery by 27th 10:30am Apple says by the 26th. I hope Apple is right!

Both times I had an Apple laptop shipped from Shanghai to New York via Fedex, it arrived a day before the date that appeared on the FedEx tracking system. There is a reasonable chance you will receive the machine on the 26th.

Sweet. I got the same quote as you, rtalex... mine got to memphis, TN, and the estimate still says the 27th by 10:30... I'm in CA, too, so you should definitely get yours before me.
 
Finally - shipping notice!

Still waiting on the shipment, just got notification a few minutes ago from apple "that is has shipped"

It can't get here fast enough, I say. Everything is ready to go, just missing the mac now.

However, I must say, the one thing I do like about these excruciatingly waits is that it lets you get totally prepared with separate purchases and all psyched up for delivery. :cool:
 
I am new to the forum but have been browsing for quite some time. I just wanted to let you know that I nearly slept through the knock at my door this morning only to answer and be greeted by the fedex guy. He says, " I'm so sorry for waking you up so early after your thanksgiving." I looked down at the box and recognized what it was, smiled and said, "Hey, its no problem at all and thanks for giving. I signed and closed my door. This is my first mac and I am loving it. And I always thought christmas was in december.
