I've seen one X in the wild since release, and another one that my wife's cousin has. That's not to say the phone isn't selling, or isn't popular, becsuse there are other factors are play. It could indicate that the phone isn't as popular as some like to think though.

One interesting thing too is I rarely see people toying with one on display. Whether it be Target, Best Buy, a carrier store, etc.

If you live in Calcutta odds are you wont see many iPhone X :)

However on a serious note I work for one of the largest phone networks in the world and I know one person who has one and another who is thinking about getting one. My manager and few people on the team got iPhone 8 & 8 Plus

I too am yet to actually see one when out and about. I’ve never known a new iPhone be so illusive? Might be a UK thing...

I’m in the UK & I see them regularly. It could just be that people have stopped upgrading their phones that often now given that the devices from the last couple of years are still going solid but the X is definitely seen in the wild.

or the amount who have their phones out with them when walking..I try not to do that. It;s why I have an apple watch

I saw two in highcross alone last time I went though.

I don’t doubt they exist, I just am yet to spot one. I’ve only seen a handful of 8’s to be honest and am in the welsh capital most weeks. It just seems weird?

I know a lot of people putting off upgrading due to their phones working fine so perhaps trends are starting to change?

I think it's important to remember that the iPhone X has only been released for two months. And I would say the majority upgrade when their phones that are financed are paid off and the price point is another factor of how expensive the X is. And the iPhone X also released during a very expensive time of the year for consumers when their spending a lot of money during the holidays, which some don't make the necessary adjustments to buy or finance $1000 iPhone.

I think those are all contributing circumstances where the iPhone X currently stands.

I’m in NYC and I’ve seen a few on the subway while commuting to work. A couple of my acquaintances have the X also. It’s worth noting that I started seeing seeing more of it after the holidays.

There's this hideous looking Tesla parked outside my office window. I can't understand why somebody would pay for that when the Nissan Versa parked right next to it can get the same job done.

Answer? Simple. They want the most intelligent and most attractive women to mate with.

Natural Selection has been going on since the beginning of recorded history, you should have seen the chariot Caesar was rocking.

Here in the US I just flew to/from the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the flights to/from New York City were all in the $750 per seat range, it's Vegas' biggest week of tourism, UBER serge pricing is in full effect, hotels are no less than $350 a night for the most pedestrian accommodations.

On those flights I must have seen 100 iPhone X's, each. If you care about tech and you've got the coin, you've got an iPhone X.

I have literally seen zero. I've been looking too. I live in a very large city that has a big tech scene. But the X is pretty elusive.

Looks are about all you’re going to get if you depend on your car to attract a mate.

Well people here can afford it, they must not care about tech. You don’t need to be a millionaire to own one so perhaps trends are changing.

You can't have it both ways with the iPhone X, RD.

Either a) it's too expensive or b) anyone can afford one. You keep arguing both sides of the fence. You yourself have said numerous times that it's too expensive. So now it's affordable? Which one?

Me,my wife, my sister in law, my brother have X.

I have seen many people with x here in Salt Lake City.

It is too expensive for a mobile phone IMO. You don’t need to spend a grand to get a really capable smartphone. But I could afford it if I wanted it that badly, that was my point and that applies to a lot of people. Priorities and preferences. The price is a turn off.
