Hermès Edition Owners Thread

Now I’m even more annoyed they don’t include both bands, since Edition owners get them:

Sounds crazy but a big motivator for getting the S4 Hermes for me was the faces more than the bands. I’m a long, long time mechanical watch wearer and found the stock faces unpalatable. I liked the Hermes ones and ended up using the Argent/Rouge face 90% of time. Haven’t used the deployment clasp much, too afraid of getting it wet, it’s a little impractical for me. Used my existing link bracelet from the Series 2 most of the time, bar the gym and a couple of other bands.

This time, I‘m pretty happy with the way I‘ve configured the stock California dial so decided to return the Hermes and buy a SB link bracelet to go along with a normal SB SS. I love it, and it feels sufficiently different to my old SS. Apart from not matching the lugs with my deployment, it still looks good with my orange Hermes sport band, white Nike band and the orange (whatever the official colour was) leather loop.

The Hermes and Nike faces is the reason why Apple wouldn't allow people to create their own custom watch faces. And I totally agree with you with the beautiful California and Meridian faces finally filling up the watch screen the Hermes AW is not worth the premium if you're not a Hermes / luxury fan.

Since it was first allowed with the Series 0 Apple Watch I have been using my own folder of a collection of photos I've shot as my custom watch faces.... Surely this is still permitted if one has a Hermes watch?

i've always wondered why hermes doesnt give the S/M loops, cos the M/L loops are too big for me. So in this case i can't ever get my preferred 44mm size in hermes cos my wrists are too small haha..

Same. I always wanted to use the orange Hermès sport band but M/L is too large for my wrist. The band always just end up sitting in the box.
 
I can *just* use the M/L on my wrist on the smallest setting but it's annoying to have to thread so much of the band through the slot. I've always assumed that Hermes didn't want people selling the "other" strap that they weren't using. But annoying.

yeah the whole only giving the S/M to 40mm and M/L to 44mm hurts both sides. I am fortunate they gave me the smaller band for the 40mm but i feel for the users of the 40mm who have bigger wrists and want to use the M/L and vice versa
 
Maybe if we all write feedback to Apple they’ll come up with some sort of band swap program.

i believe you can use Apple Studio to get the SBSS case with the deployment buckle bands unless you are iffy about the lugs mismatching
 
My noir Hermès came in. While stunning, currently I’m leaning towards keeping the ceramic for a change. I work out 5 days a week so switching out the leather band twice a day isn’t ideal. Haven’t decided yet I’ll give it a few days.

You know, to my surprise I agree about swapping bands. It's a simple process, takes probably less than a minute. And yet....it's a PITA some how! Yes I'm lazy. And yes 1st world problems. Maybe I'll get an S6 as my all day/every day watch and retire my S4 to workout status.

Not for the Hermès. You can only match stainless steel (non-black) with other bands. Space Black is available only with the black single and double tour bands.
 
Looks like the SBSS is no longer available on Apple or Hermès websites.

The Single Tour is still available (the 40mm for delivery Friday!). The Double Tour looks sold out for now, though the separate band is available for late November pickup.

That’s not true. Hermes doesn’t have stock that’s why it’s not on their website. They only list on their website items that are in stock and ready to be delivered. I also just checked on the Apple Store app and I can order the space black watch with the Noir band and it’s available for delivery on November 6Th.

seems only the SBSS Double tour is sold out on Apple which is still pretty wild

Herme's official site seems to have one in stock if any on lookers are interested
