That isn’t normal. I’ve owned every generation of Apple Watch Hermès. All have been solid.
Sitting on my kitchen counter in the unopened box is the Nior SBSS Double Tour. I still can't decide if I want the SS again or the SBSS that I had 2 years ago. This one is from the Hermes store so there is no returns if I open it. I have never had this hard a time making a decision. I love the versatility of the SS but love the look of the Nior...PLEASE help!!!!
aah never buy an AW from Hermes unless you're 100 percent sure you want it 😱
if i were you id go to my local apple store wearing an hermes band and put it on the SBSS they have and see if you can live with the mis match (if i were hellbent on a color of a watch i wouldnt care)
I don't know why it is such a tough decision this year! I did used to wear the SB with different bands & didn't mind it but know that not everyone is like that. This is crazy!!
if you love the SBSS look and its durability (plus the exclusive packaging and watch faces!) then go for it
I love my SBSS. I think it looks great with all the bands. I don’t care about the lugs. Only people who have to find a reason to dislike something point out these unimportant issues. I had the last two Series Hermès Apple Watch in SS so I feel it’s time for a change. I think my noir looks elegant and different with the exclusive Hermès noir faces. Just my two cents.
Thanks! I think the SBSS is elegant & beautiful also! I did just find out that I can open the box & try it on but can't pair it if I want to return it. So at least I can try it on & try different bans with it. Enjoy yours!!
I think this is an easy one. Return it to Hermès and purchase through Apple first.
2. if you are looking for versatility with any Hermès band then go SS. If you want black 100% of the time then keep the SSBS.
In my opinion, mismatched lugs look terrible, but good luck on your decision. It’s never easy and most of all enjoy the watch!!

I am visiting Brooklyn/NYC next Friday 10/4, looking to get my first ever Apple Watch, the Hermès version of course. I will be close to many Apple/Hermès stores. I want to see the watch in person before I buy my first one. Would I have better luck at Hermès or at Apple? Does Apple even have Hermès Apple Watch in store? Is it all too early anyway with the release last week?
I'm not looking at the new black one at least, I know that is higher demand.

Apple has on display every Hermès watch with every band to try on in the NYC stores. Enjoy the experience.
i would call the 5th ave or upper east side store to ask first since they arent offered in every apple store.

The 40mm Space Black Hermès delivers 10/1 if you order today, but the 44mm has a later date. So you might want to consider it.
Fifth Avenue is best Apple store in NYC and the largest. I was there yesterday and they have all of the Hermès watches on display and they are open 24 hours. It’s the store that never sleeps.
Ordered the Etain/Beton strap on launch day but slacked on deciding if I wanted to upgrade my S4 Hermès to the new S5 SBSS Noir. The SBSS case and Noir dial tipped me over.
Ordered 9/15, with Oct 16-23 delivery estimate. Just got the charge today and now preparing to ship! Woo!

Similar order path with mine. Ordered 9/14. Delivery estimated moved up to Oct 1st-3rd. Shipped early yesterday and it will be here tomorrow!

If I were to get the space black Hermès, would I still get access to the other Hermès faces? I really love that blue face, and I'd like to buy a second band to match that face and have some options.
Yes, the Noir Hermès gets all the “regular” Hermès faces as well. I really like it.
