You sold it? how much did you end up selling it for?
I bought it in January, after the S5 launched from someone who upgraded to the S5. I really bought it for the bands and because it didn’t have the AOD of the S5 I was wearing I only ever used it as a sleep tracker, replacing my SS S0. Also I’m in New Zealand, where the Hermes was only available in S2. We didn’t have an LTE provider for the Watch until December last year so we didn’t get any LTE Watch models until then, and we still don’t have Edition or Hermes (fingers crossed that changes with the S6...). Lastly here in NZ there is an eBay-like auction site called Trademe which got the predominant market share many years ago, so NZ stuff is rarely on eBay, and we don’t have any of the other sites US people are familiar with like Mercari, Craigslist etc. Oddly we don’t even have Gumtree which is prevalent in the UK even though I believe it’s original Australian. I wear 42/44mm.
So, with the caveats listed I paid NZ$800 (~US$535) for the S4 imported from the UK (so the LTE is the same as an NZ one now we have it available) in very good used condition with the Indigo/Craie/Orange band. I sold it on a few months later (because I bought a SBSS S5 Watch to alternate with my SS S5 to see how I like the black casing, and I’d also bought the bands only that came with an S3 Watch so had a second orange Sport Band). I listed it for NZ$620 (~US$415) with only the orange Sport Band and it sold quickly, so perhaps I undersold it.
It seems that Hermes Watches, when they come up in NZ, go for even less than they do in other countries - at least from my eBay listing observations. Last week I paid NZ$850 (~US$570) for an almost unused S2 NZ market Hermes with the original Fauve Barenia plus a Feu Epsom, Milanese Loop, orange Sport Band, black Classic Buckle, plus a nylon buckle and three Sport Loops (and a few non-Apple bands). I currently have that sitting at NZ$210 with a week to run in an auction, again with only the orange Sport Band.
I’m interested to know what will happen if the Hermes models become available in NZ again - I suspect used values will rise as it will become better known - most NZ buyers probably don’t know the Hermes Watch is a genuine thing, or how much it costs, as they don’t see it being sold anywhere here. Paradoxically it cost me over NZ$3,000 to get my wife a S5 38mm Hermes with a double-tour band in March as a birthday gift - I had to buy it from Apple Australia, shipped to a friend with an Aus address, and then on-shipped to me in NZ. That meant I had to pay sales tax in Australia and NZ as well as the additional shipping which wasn’t cheap with the required insurance.
