Hermès Edition Owners Thread

Are you guys planning on buying the S6 Hermes if it gets released next month?
I love the Hermes faces and leather bands but working from home most of the time these days and not attending a lot of social functions, my beautiful H leather bands are just sitting in a storage box. I also mostly use the infograph face for activity tracking. The resale value is also quite low and being a luxury item I'm not sure if I will be able to sell my Noir S5 this year...
I like the option of having the Hermes faces to use when I want to but I'm not sure if I'll get the S6 Hermes this year. Maybe just the standard stainless steel or titanium or whatever new watch case material they're releasing.

Come from a S4 Hermes I have over 6 Hermes leather bands. I’ve just been using a regular sport band of late and really cannot justify paying the extras for an Hermes interface this year. I’d probably go with titanium if it’s still available. Ceramic also but then it doesn’t match with my bands so it’s kinda off the chart.

SS S4 Hermes owner. Pretty sure for S6 I'm going to get a non-Hermes SB SS. I use sport and sport loop bands almost 100% of the time at this point. The faces are nice, but I don't use them frequently.

I’ve owned a S2 & S4 Hermès Apple Watch. I skipped the 3 and 5. If they offer a white ceramic Edition Series 6, I’ll probably go with it and keep the S4 around for certain occasions (eg going out, if that’s something we will ever do again ?) and to continue using my Hermès leather bands (I own 8 and they just don’t look good on the white Edition).
However, I do hope they continue their partnership with Hermès as it is a good fit for both companies and helps to see Apple Watch not just as a fitness tracker but also as an luxury fashion item.

Great question to pontificate on. Honestly I’m very curious if Apple will launch a Hermes S6 Editionthis year or at all considering many affected by the downturn in the market for most of the first half of the year. Then again most buyers have made a billing in gold Apple n Tesla shares lol. J/k.
unless several major improvements and new features I’d say for those having any hesitation to wait until S7. The luxuryyou have works & wears rather well.
Luxury goods are generally unaffected by recessions. Rich people still rich etc.

Yup. It’s like when you see specialized vehicles that are on the market for sale, and you have those who say ‘nobody’s buying those cars, the economy is bad’. Well, not everyone is affected by the economy is my always first response. Same is true to what you said about Hermes. That watch appeals to like .00001% of the Apple Watch demographic, which is really geared towards those who will pay full price for that watch without thinking twice about it, it’s not really meant for the average consumer, but Apple ready knows that.
It's painful to think that my Series 4 Hermes 44mm Stainless Steel Model is about to get seriously outdated with the upcoming Series 6 AW. I love the Hermes Watch face very much, don't care about the bands as i use the Milanese Loop myself. the Series 6 with its new health features is going to be very enticing but i dont know if i'll spring the money for the hermes model yet again
My best suggestion would be to Sell now if you can, as eBay would be your best option for a ‘wider range of audience’. I assume/suspect the majority can’t even afford a used Hermes Apple Watch.

Ebay. It’s your only hope. And I say that, because you have such a massive audience of buyers that are willing to consider your price point, given your local community will try to haggle you way too hard and/or not be interested at all.
but beware with eBay, you obviously have to consider their fees/PayPal fees, and make sure you have plenty of photos documenting the watch, because whoever wants it, will likely be very particular given they are fairly expensive.
I have an S4 Hermès (I think, lol: I've lost touch with what's going on with Apple Watches). The strap looks as good as when I first bought the watch and it is super-comfortable. I love the Hermès watch faces and use them pretty much exclusively.
But I really only wear it outdoors, which mostly means an hour or so a day. And I think about money differently to how I used to. I also have different spending priorities. So when it finally dies, I won't buy another Hermès. They're too expensive.
I'm actually most likely to buy a Sport. I like the Nike watchfaces more than the standard Apple ones. And it's the most affordable.
Hey folks silly question. Got my first Hermes watch today, s4 used off eBay. Does every box have the same label and glyph showing only that it comes with an Hermes sport band? Ie the only labels that list the leather band color and style come when you buy the bands separately?
The S2 and S3 came in the old style square box and they have the leather band detailed on the bottom. I just checked the S2 I bought last week and confirmed, and I’m pretty sure the Rallye I bought that came with the box but no Watch did also.
The S4 came with a Hermes version of the long box where the band is separate like other Watches (and the sport band in the main box. I also checked the outer sleeve of the S4 I had and it detailed the Indogo/Craie/Orange Swift band. I sold the Watch and sport band though, so I don’t have that inner box to check.
Lastly I checked my wife’s S5, which came in the same style packaging. It lists the Fauve Barenia Double Tour on both the sleeve and the box the Watch came in.
On that basis I’d say most likely the S4 should list the leather band on the sticker on the box also, and definitely does on the outer sleeve - assuming that’s what you mean?
I can take some snaps if you like? Here‘s the S2 box which I already have a photo of as I just listed it with a sport band to sell it on.

Basically I just want to know if this box I got is strange. The only thing it says on the left sticker that I cut off is 44mm.
That box looks...odd. I don't think I've ever seen an Apple Watch Hermes that was sold with solely the sport band and even labeled as such. The watches are sold complete with both the sport band as well as a leather band of your choice and boxes are properly labeled indicating this.
If that is the outer "shell" box then there should be two boxes that slip inside it, a larger one that contains the watch and charger and literature and sport band, and a smaller box with the leather band in a felt pouch. What does the rest of your packaging look like?
I see. Below is from my S4, but it's the outer sleeve that held the Watch box ad the band box inside. I don't have the Watch box anymore, but my wife's S5 Watch box doesn't have a picture of the Watch at all, that's only on the outer sleeve of hers.
I guess maybe they are different in different parts of the world. My S4 is a UK version and my wife's is an Aus version.
