I’d been planning on getting the Hermes S6 but was disappointed to see that it isn’t available in Gold SS...So just got the Gold SS and a Hermes band instead.

Ordered both of these this afternoon, the aluminum to replace my S4 aluminum I use for workouts and running, and the Hermes to replace my S5 Hermes. Was torn with sticking with stainless steel again or changing to the space black, and I opted to stick with the former. It just has a more "classic" look to me though that space black sure is sexy and makes the watch faces so seamless.
My biggest fear would be the overall durability of the space black steel, in terms of scuffing and micro scratches snd scuffs etc.
FenC:eBay. If you don’t want to risk an unknown seller then look in Chargerstore’s listings. He/she is in China, but LOTS of us in the main band collecting thread in the accessories forum have bought from them and they are genuine. Expect to pay over $100 but shipping is free.
It doesn’t, scratches will be visible over time but can be buffed out professionally by a polisher depending on how deep the scratches are. If you’re afraid of scratches don’t get the stainless steel model because it will show swirl marks if you wear it daily after a year of usage. How good does the silver stainless steel resist to scratches compared to the space gray?

Don’t know about that, I owned every single gen(except for series 5) of the Apple Watch in stainless steel and they all got scratches and swirl marks, I wear it daily and my current Hermes stainless steel Series 4 has swirls marks as well but that’s the e beauty of it, it feels like a real watch to me. If I get the series 6 it’ll be stainless steel as wellWhat about the black titanium one? I heard that it will get scratches much easier than stainless steel.

Silver, I currently own itThe Hermes Stainless Steel you owned was silver or black Stainless Steel?
I completely understand how people want to get the best bang for their long term buck and depending on the item in question I feel the same way. The Apple Watch Hermes is one of those items that to me is in a different category, namely I'm not concerned about the resale value. It's one of those purchases which just makes me feel good. I work hard, I save, and every so often I want to splurge. The value in the AW Hermes isn't just in the monetary cost but in the satisfaction I get wearing it every single day, 16 hours a day, for an entire year before the new one comes out.So how many of you are STILL getting the Hermes edition Series 6 after its proven year after year that the Hermes Edition Apple Watches simply don’t retain the value. I can’t even get $600 for my 44mm Hermes Series 4. I might opt for the regular stainless steel model this time around.
Which store offered you 600?I completely understand how people want to get the best bang for their long term buck and depending on the item in question I feel the same way. Plus I can recoup nearly half the cost anyway when I resell the watch to a local Apple-oriented retailer here in town. The quote I was given for my Series 5 Hermes was $600.95 and that's fine with me. And when they cut me a check that will already cover again nearly half of what I paid for the Series 6. Even if I was offered less than that, I wouldn't be bothered.
There's a local store here in San Diego that specializes in selling/reselling Apple stuff, they're called Quality Macs. You can check them out at qualitymacs.com or go straight to their business arm that does the quoting for used gear, at cashforyourmac.com and create quotes for a variety of items. They lock in the offer quote for 30 days and supply a prepaid FedEx shipping label. I've been dealing with them for years, selling my (gently!) used Apple stuff to them.Which store offered you 600?
No one buys luxury fashion items for the resale value. So how many of you are STILL getting the Hermes edition Series 6 after its proven year after year that the Hermes Edition Apple Watches simply don’t retain the value. Did any of you notice during the Apple event yesterday that there is a watch face that resembles the orange numerical Hermes watchface but obviously without the Hermes logo?
The Hermes edition watch is the exact same thing as the stainless steel model except the Hermes model has the Hermes watch face which I love and is the reason why I have the Hermes edition. I don’t care about the Hermes strap and sold these a year ago, I like to use the milanese loop with my Hermes 44mm series 4 AW. With that being said, I can’t even get half of what I paid for it now that the series 6 is releasedNo one buys luxury fashion items for the resale value.
That said, it’s always been true that you can get the regular stainless steel plus the Hermes strap for about $200 less than the Hermes package, and so if you don’t need/want the faces, that’s the better approach. That’s a big reason why it has similar resale value as the regular stainless steel. Buyers on the resale market aren’t interested in paying a premium for a few extra watch faces.
I did notice that as well. It looks very similar. So how many of you are STILL getting the Hermes edition Series 6 after its proven year after year that the Hermes Edition Apple Watches simply don’t retain the value. This this this this. Sticky this!No one buys luxury fashion items for the resale value.
It’s not a luxury item, the bands make it seem that way and the watchface is what makes the Hermes edition special, take away the Hermes watchface and the watch itself is IDENTICAL to the stainless steel Apple Watch. Apple is fully aware of this as well which is why they will give you the exact same trade in value for a Stainless Steel Hermes Model and a standard Stainless Steel Apple WatchThis this this this. I normally get $500-$700 on resale of my Hermes, but I buy each model. Also, tech doesn't hold value like a Hermes bag.So how many of you are STILL getting the Hermes edition Series 6 after its proven year after year that the Hermes Edition Apple Watches simply don’t retain the value. Not exactly 100% identical, the Hermès watch has the Hermès name etched on the back too. That detail plus the branded packaging combined with the handmade bands make it worth it to some people. It’s not a luxury item, the bands make it seem that way and the watchface is what makes the Hermes edition special, take away the Hermes watchface and the watch itself is IDENTICAL to the stainless steel Apple Watch. Wear what you like. The only real way to see if it works is to get the Navy band in hand and see how it all looks together. I’m anxious to get the Navy band delivered as well. My favorite color combo that Hermès does with some of their products is navy/marine dark blue with their signature orange. I sometimes wear that with the sport bands and am wanting to do it with the leather.I got the S5 Noir last year as my first Hermes edition. I love the Navy blue single tour band this year.
I am not a fashion expert and need some help. Would mixing the Noir watch with the Navy blue band be a fashion mistake?
