My first Apple watch has finally arrived! After about a 3 week wait my Series 6 SS Hermès is here. The Fauve Barénia leather is beautiful and slightly darker than I expected based on the photos, which I am happy with. I can see why some people prefer the deployant clasp on this leather as it takes a little wiggling to get the leather into the keepers (aka loops). First world problems I know. The Hermès orange sport band is a really nice color as well. I also have 2 braided solo loops en route, a black sports band and a white sports band in hand. I am wearing the white sports band right now with the white Hermès face and I have to say, looks really nice.

nice! which color solo loops did you get? they're still pretty backordered, no? i think the braided solo loops look great with all the watch colors. one of the better "no-lug" options!

I ordered the Inverness Green (have tried it on with a SS Series 6 and looks amazing, my favorite color of the braided bands). I also ordered the Product Red. It looked really solid in the store, I didn't try that one on.

LOS ANGELES BABY!!
that's a great deal! i'd go for it. i'm having some back on forth on a few bands on ebay at the moment heh. some of the asking prices seem crazy to me; i know these bands are out of production, but $999 for something that was $349 or something new, no?
Contact the seller and try and negotiate. It can work in your favor.

This! I’ve worked through a lot of my personal hang-ups about seeming “annoying” or “extra” or “improper” via being more, how should I say this, aggressive with my eBay and Mercari offers. I’m usually surprised at low people will go just to unload. Helps to have confident white dude friends encouraging you lmao

here are a few of the bands in my collection that i think go well with the SBSS. i MIGHT try and swap out the lugs on the indigo/rouge rallye or the bricque clown with space black ones. tempting!

Hope you all don’t mind a question about straps. I have a 44mm S5, and want to stick with that size.

The 44mm single tour straps say minimum size is 160mm and I think that would be a little loose for me. I wear the size S/M sport band on the second to the last hole.

Does anyone wear a size 44mm single tour on the smallest hole in the strap?Would like to know where that puts you on the Sport Band so I can get an idea of how big the strap would be on me.
Thanks!

I wear the 44mm single tour with an extra hole added at a Hermès store.
I don’t wear the M/L Hermès orange sport band. It’s too big. I’m on the fourth smallest hole on other S/M sport bands

That is really helpful! I think that would mean I’d need more than one hole punched though, and I’d be worried I’d be dealing with the tail standing out past the watch or other problems.
Really appreciate you checking that for me!

Does the 44mm case itself hang over your wrists? I have a 155mm wrist and think the 44mm is way too big, although I did start to get used to it and now the 40mm seems much smaller. I cannot keep the 44mm though it just overtakes my wrist.

... just trying to imagine, what little piece you would like to put trough which hole. ?
If it is that mushroom headed pin - use the force, young padawan. It is the only solution.

I got it. Thank you! Its weird with the band. The second hole is tight but the third is too loose. Wasn't like this with non deployment hermes. Anyone else have a similar experience?

I love these. The bricque clown in particular is spectacular.

Alright Hermès pros, I have a question that hopefully someone will be willing to answer. I really like my Attelage double tour and do not want to change this band any time soon. Is it a bad idea to wear it every day?

Hermès leather holds up very well. I’d still let it “rest” a few days a month.

I see that with other bands too. In the case of leather it will loosen a bit in time.
