As far as the “my son’s addiction really has an impact on my life” gamut goes, I think my mom could do a lot worse. I swear this is it, have to ignore all deals until her birthday now:
I’ve just got my first Hermes watch after only having aluminium before. What can I say? Absolute chalk and cheese, I’m really enjoying it. I have extremely skinny wrists and the Double Tour strap only just fits.
I want to ask what might be a stupid question. Are the Hermes watch faces updated each year? Or do you need to buy a new Hermes Edition each year to get any new Hermes faces?

After buying my Hermès Noir S6 I felt something was missing the black sports band that comes with the Noir just doesn’t quite cut it or feel special enough, managed to pickup a pristine never used or removed from packaging 42mm orange Hermès sports band from a series 2, he was selling the whole watch and convinced him to part ways with the sports band for $50AUD

to be honest, i didn’t even realize both sides didn’t have the new lug until i opened it up. it’s interesting, definitely gives the watch a quirkier, asymmetric feel.
TBH, I hesitated a bit. When I first viewed the Attelage asymmetrical design, I was eh. But I’m impulsive when it comes to new straps and colors I enjoy - chalked the purchase to early XMAS present
I don’t think the Hermès Attelage heritage really came through on the larger 44mm band - asymmetric lugs doesn’t really tie in the hallmark of the hook of the harness buckle - compared to the smaller 42mm watch, which I think looks fabulous.
IMO if already you have the Orange Swift single tour, I’d pass.
If one don’t currently own a Hermès orange strap, now you have the option of picking two luxurious straps - personally the standard Orange Swift is the one to pick if you’re new to Hermès or first Hermès AW.
But if you love the brand, collect Hermès straps - it’s a nice to have not a must have.
Here’s a photo of a Hermès wrist strap that I think they should have used for style on the larger strap. I have a 7.5” left wrist and don’t notice the elongated lug and thought I was wearing the standard Orange Swift.
I think they could have designed a different buckle or used symmetric lugs but introduced a harness design between one of the straps.

I considered the SB Hermès before I bought the Ti and I was put off by the lack of Apple/Hermès accessories support for this model.
Really, they should include the orange band with the SB and offer more of the leather straps with black hardware.

Hey folks is this band fake? I think it might a TaoBao “good” fake. And the “I just bought this on eBay” line is one I’ve read before on a fake as a not-so-subtle dodge for future disputes. The Hermes embossing looks like crap and the under color and stitching feel wrong, even though they look clean. Obviously the color+size screams “wait, I never existed”...

The buckle, stitching and the embossing looks quite accurate to me.
Ok wait you’re totally right. I was just disregarding Navy because it’s so new and he said he got it on eBay but that would explain why it doesn’t have the size printed on the bottom. The lazy screencap pics also raised my antennae. I also prob assumed Navy only came in 44. Thanks for the sober eyes, I just love calling out fakes haha
Yeah, like he couldn't make his own pics. Well some people are just super lazy. In the colour case Hermès moves in mysterious ways.
