Quick question for the Hermès pros on this forum. I just bought my first Hermes Apple Watch (6 SS). I'd like to buy a band for it and my hunch tells me that the deployment buckle must easier to maintain (easier to put on, no fiddling around, etc.). Do you guys agree on this? My issue is that I really like the Étoupe which offered yet with the deployment buckle.
I saw in previous pages that Apple sometimes release new bands for spring. Do we have any idea of what could be upcoming?
Edit: At the moment, I only have the orange rubber band
Yes, the conceit behind the deployant is that you put the latch in the notch once and, barring wrist swelling, never have to take it out and put it back in every day, thus stressing the band less. For sure on my younger Hermes bands it can cause anguish putting it on and removing it and breaking it in. Another reason to buy used, haha.
There’s a decent chance they will do a new color deployant in spring but not a great one. The new noir deployant in the fall was the first new one in a very long time and this is evidence for and against yet another new one in March. Although etoupe seems like a good candidate as any, being a classic neutral.
My best guess for spring is more colors for the Attelage, maaaaybe another 44mm double tour, and then the new single tour colors complete the rainbow theme from fall, perhaps giving more bicolor colors a chance to be their own band the way ambre did in the fall. So maybe a bleu lin single tour, gold, or one of the rose shades. Rallye and scarf patterns...I’m not holding my breath.
