PSA: If you own an Hermes watch and want/need either the orange or black sport band, chat into Apple Support and they will sell you both/either for retail price plus shipping. Used my S4 to score a black Hermes sport band today and a friend got both colors using his S6 noir. Just say you lost it.
Can you ask for a black Hermès sport band if you have a S6 SS? I assume not?
Can you ask for a S/M piece even if you have a 44mm watch?

S/M 44mm pieces only exist from chargerstore I think, he seemingly gets them custom made like the non-canon gold pin bands with second gen colors I have or the Orange Hermes with black pin or gold pin.

And yes you can get any Hermes band with any watch it seems. I got black with a silver s4 today and my friend got both colors with his noir s6.

Does it need to have been purchased from the Apple store? I got my watch directly from Hermès since I wanted the ètoupe strap with it. I have realized I will never wear the orange sports band (not my style) that came with it and would love a black Hermès one instead.

No definitely not. Just needs to be attached to your Apple ID, or even just the serial number is enough I think.

I agree that the first black bands didn't age well. Maybe that's the reason it got a lot lighter with the recent iterations and they kept the dark black only for the Hermès (people usually don't wear them all-day everyday).

Oh honey do I have news for you...$49USD/$59CAD ??
Just did the same thing! Thank you for letting us know.
I wondered if we could have used the EPP discount since this usually makes the sport bands $6 cad cheaper. Forgot about it until after the purchase.

Just for reference sake, the rep says as long as you have an Hermes AW and the two sport bands (which fit your watch, ex. 44mm) are still available for purchase, then you can purchase it anytime. This means you can purchase it outside of your AppleCare+ period as well as it's just a sales purchase.

How'd you go about this? Just reached out to Apple Support that you wanted to buy another sports band for your Hermes AW?

I went through a bit of a hassle cause initially they thought I wanted to use AppleCare+ accidental use. But simply put just do this.
- Log into your apple support with your ID.
- Under your Hermes AW, create a new case under bands.
- Start a chat and say I would like to order a replacement Hermes Sports Band (Orange or Black)
- They will tell you they see the option to do so in their system and prepare the billing (59$ cad + 10$ shipping for me + Tax$) and it will be sent to your email to enter your CC and pay.

So this has nothing to do with AppleCare+. You just need to have the proper Hermes AW under your Apple ID in order for them to "equip" such accessory.

That's rather amazing about the Hermes sport bands. Good on you all for sleuthing that!

Now just lemme pay for that latest face for my Graphite SS and I'll be a happy camper ;)

What do the replacement bands come in? A blank white box? Or something with Apple or Hermès branding?

Was I lucky? The support guy just asked me for a serial number of an Hermes Watch, not even care if it is associated with my Apple ID. I told him my friend's watch serial so he could create the request and that's it :D

Hello everyone, I've just now joined the forum and would like to introduce myself. I only was a silent reader before and have now ordered my first Hermes editions (two because I couldn't decide on the size but will send one back, of course). Thanks for all your great pictures and knowledge. It helped me a lot because I don't have an Apple store or Hermes boutique near me. I'm only an Apple watch user since last April. Eventhough I've always liked to use many Apple products I never considered the Apple watch before because I preferred wearing mechanical watches. As it turned out I ended up wearing my Apple watch on a daily basis and even upgraded to a series 6 in September. But I always felt uncomfortable with the "cheap" materials and the light weight of it (the 40mm gold aluminum with light pink silicone band). I missed having that heavy and good looking watch feeling. Can't wait to go down this rabbit hole. ? Please excuse any mistakes in my text. English is not my native language.

So does anyone know if EPP discounts will apply? Apple Support already generated a replacement request for me at full price but they need someone local to call me tomorrow to confirm.

If there are no EPP discounts, I'll just pay for the replacement via the link they already emailed me.
