I was watching the video of the future and in an image of the strap you can see, at least, for me the upper part is straight and the lower part is not. we are talking about 0.3cm difference. let's see what hermès answers but I think it was intentional even if it is strange

in the next two months Kraft/Rouge de Cœur, Attelage Noir, Noir/Bleu Saphir
As our resident Hermes expert, do you know what Kraft refers to? Google translate says “very resistant wrapping paper.” Maybe refers to a Manila envelope? And etoupe for that matter.

here the list of some Hermes colors. the updated list is hard to find. Kraft is a light brown, caramel. much used. in the list there are many colors then used in the straps.
The Japanese are crazy about Hermes but the Italians are not joking either.

assuming colors for September or October
Framboise or Magnolia
Rouge Sellier
Verte Jade or Verte Bosphore
Blue atoll or Blue Frida
I hope for Rouge Sellier, a Verte Bosphore and Blue atoll or Blue Frida

I'm not a Hermès watch owner, but admire the designs. I just noticed on the Apple website that the sport band is included as an additional band when you purchase a Hermès watch - I'm curious, has that been the case always, or is this a recent addition?

It’s been the case since the series 2, which introduced water resistance so I assume they started including the sport band for when you need to go swimming. The black case watches include a black sport band instead of an orange band.

The HO8 band is a banger too. I clearly love the Apple variant, but I am sure they can pull off another banger

I'm disappointed they didn't step up into another material type like the metal band you shared rather than step down to a lesser material, like the nylon route they went.

I opened my nylon band tonight as my birthday gift. It's the nicest nylon watch I've ever seen of any brand but it still feels like a lesser material compared to leather bands or metal bands.

Hi everyone. Just joined after reading this years posts. I love seeing all the beautiful watches and bands.
I am desperately trying to decide which watch to order. Looking at the Hermès 40mm space black with noir attelage double tour and the Hermès 40mm SS with noir attelage double tour.
I currently am wearing a 38mm rose gold that is a series 2 (I believe) that I bought second hand locally.
As a lefty I wear my watch on my right wrist and rose gold rings on that hand. Idk if that really matters but essentially I’m mixing rose gold and white gold daily.
Does anyone have a suggestion for firming up my choice?
Thanks so much in advance for helping this newbie.

First of all, welcome!

It’s a bit hard to advise you since which watch you prefer is really a matter of personal taste. Here are a few things to consider though:
  • If you are someone who will be bothered by a mismatch between your watch and the lugs on the band (i.e. black watch with silver band lugs), be aware that Hermes only makes a handful of bands with black hardware (and those bands are all black except for one of the new Jumping single tour bands).
  • The silver will give you many more options when it comes to bands since all the brown and colored leather bands come with silver lugs. With a 40mm model, you could also pair Apple’s Modern Buckle bands for additional leather options (most of these have silver hardware too). Lastly, the vast majority of Apple’s sport bands have a silver pin.
  • The silver will look more like a traditional watch. However, it will also pick up micro-scratches over time (these can be polished out).
  • The black has a bit of an infinity look to it. You can’t really tell where the screen ends and the case begins. The DLC black coating also makes it extremely resistant to scratches.
  • The silver comes with an orange sport band. The black comes with a black sport band and also has an extra Noir watch face option.
So, it really comes down to what you want. If you would rather have a bit more of a traditional watch look or want to be able to pair lots of different leather bands, get the silver. If you want the watch to look as if it were a singular piece of glass or you are only planning to pair a single black leather strap, get the space black. Both are great!
