Assembled in France, that is quite a difference. Would be interesting to dig deeper.

All of my 16 Hermès leather strap boxes say Assembled in France and I wouldn’t read too much into it. Also the box stickers are generated by Apple. And straps I’ve purchased directly Hermès do not box stickers.

Made in France on the strap - hard to get a decent photo

I think they have to say assembled because the lugs are Chinese. Weird how they use Swiss lugs for Apple leather but then the generic MfW pieces for the more expensive Hermes ??‍♂️

Ja, that thought I popped in my mind as I was on a call. The actual leather and nylon straps are made in France by Hermès and assembled by them with lugs (and buckle?) supplied from Apple (made in China)

After one day of wearing the new nylon (bleu/orange) , I have to say I really like it! I was skeptical to order, but I am pleasantly surprised. The look especially in sunlight is pure pop brilliant! The feel is quality all the way. These should be in no way compared to the apple nylon bands at all. These have a serious core with shape and finishing, the apple ones were flimsy garbage. I cannot justify the price compared to the H leather obviously but in their own right they are super nice. Just my 2 cents. Now how to justify to myself to buy the noir/bleu for my S5 SB Hermes LOL.... Damn you Hermes.

Cheers!

@sfmthd of all the Hermes I'd get you the lime!
I almost always buy from Hermès and the boxes have no labels of any kind. simple orange box.
the strap in the buckle is sold with a fine plastic protective cap.
the stamp "Hermes Paris Bracelet Made in France" is always there. until a couple of years ago there was also printed the number on the belt where there was the buckle.
seeing the video posted by @the future there are no more serial numbers, on two lines, which is a shame
@sfmthd on the black Attelage strap the serial numbers must be there, can you confirm?

Speaking of, is there a guide out there on how to decode the markings on the band? I know the first letter corresponds to the manufacture year (and I have found the chart that maps those). But it sounds like the other markings are for the factory and artisan that made the band. I have really enjoyed learning more about how Hermès makes its leather bands and would love to be able to identify where my bands were made.

two letters and the number is the serial number, I don't know if the exchange rate is after the default number

Arrived today Bleu Saphir / Orange, Hermes.fr site, I wanted to know if your strap is also larger at the top and smaller immediately below as in the attached photo. If not, I'll change it on the fly. (I still wrote to Hermès)
First impressions having held it in the hand: thick like a leather strap, soft at the top and hard at the bottom of the holes, good but nothing special.
Finishes, you can see that they have joined two layers of nylon and bonded to heat and there are no seams on the sides. It was better they sewed.
Not good impressions excluding the possible width anomaly.
As I have always said, it is nylon but they could very well have avoided it, at least Hermès, and the finishes just tip the balance to last over time.
Now let's see how long it lasts.

My band definitely does not look like that. I would return that.

Sigh...... I thought I would splurge and buy the 40mm hermes watch with the Orange/Rose band but had to take it back today after receiving it yesterday. On a white screen it showed the dreaded faint red line (which I haven't seen since purchasing a series 4 with the same issue years ago). Tried to ignore it but once you see it you can't unsee it. Then to top it all off when I removed the band this little metal piece fell away from the watch. It turns out it was the covering to the diagnostic port where the band slides in.

Now I don't know whether to order another one which will take a month or just wait until the new model in September. Or just buy the band separately to use with my series 5 ceramic and series 6 gold and then pair it with the new model later in the year. Decisions decisions......

Also anybody with the new bands do you find the inside is a little scratchy/sharp where the fabric is folded and stitched? Mine was kind of sharp and irritated my wrist a little.
