So after all this time how is the jumping band going? Does it soften so those corners don't dig in? I still want to grab one before they go but still not 100% sure.
I will most likely grab the Hermes S7 when it finally becomes available to order.

I must admit I'm totally thrilled about the tiny update of the bigger screen. The big black edges really kept me from using colorful or lighter watch faces. I think the new screen looks absolutely fabulous. Can't wait to be able to order.

Okay this is making me want to upgrade. And here I was settled on keeping my S6. Curse you, Apple!! 🤣
I've used mine as a DD since they were released and it's definitely softened up. The corners of the buckle are of course as hard as ever. But between wearing it 1 hole looser than I otherwise would, and training it somewhat by bending it into a V shape such that the sharp corners are at the bottom of the V, away from my skin, it works fine.
Still on the fence about S7...

Why upgrade? You could purchase all 3 new straps for the price of a new new S7 aka “6a” upgrade. New display upgrade is nice but wouldn’t that be also on a new 8 - or possibly new design?
if final WatchOS 8 includes new Circuit faces then I find it less compelling to go from 6 to 7.
I think this was also the question going from Series 4 to 5.

It’s actually gone. Which is super annoying as an owner of Noir rallye with the silver hardware and a Noir Double Tour 44 which I gave silver lugs.
Actually I think upgrading from S4 makes sense. You're going to get 3 pretty big upgrades: AOD, faster processor, and larger screen.
I could care less about the aod and faster processor. The larger screen is the only thing that is enticing but not worth the upgrade IMO
A question about Attelage: My wrist is big, and the regular bands are too small for me.
It makes me so sad. I am wearing my S5 H watch with other bands.
I thought that with the Attelage 44 black single tour, I may be getting the few mm needed to make the band comfortable.
I live in Tel Aviv and there is no store for me to try and check it out.
Can I ask from your experience if this is a good idea?

Have you used a S6? If you did you'd feel the difference in use day to day. It's definitely snappier. Honestly the AOD is an even bigger upgrade and you didn't even mention it. AOD *really* changes the AW experience IME.
I think Hermes benefits from AOD more than any watch. Sure the normal apple faces have cool dim modes but the Hermes faces are so dang ornamental and it’s so cool getting double your money with the alternate appearance.
The Hermes watchface is the reason I bought the Hermes model I love it very much but yeah the AOD isn’t that enticing to me personally. I’m going to keep my Series 4 for another year.
If you got the Hermès model chiefly for the Hermès watch faces, then there's actually a strong argument for AOD since you get to see the Hermès watch faces at all times now instead of only when you wake the screen

You make some great points and I ultimately agree. But sometimes with frivolous, luxury items (which all of the Hermès stuff is, IMO) it’s a matter of “I want that” as opposed to “hey, this purchase makes sense”. If I thought long and hard about it, I could probably talk myself out of buying anything Hermès Apple Watch related ever again. 😆
In the grand scheme of things, spending hundreds of dollars (after selling my S6) on something that brings me joy now >> waiting a year+ for a purchase that makes sense. And yes, Apple loves consumers like me lol.
Nope. I thought the same. I have large wrists to begin with. Add some pandemic stay at home weight on top of that and I’ve been wearing other bands too.
Maybe one day they’ll make larger bands, but I doubt it knowing high end designers. 🤞🏻
