very nice! I like it more than I thought.
One of the documents that are included with your Hermes watch states not to use any sort of leather lotion or cleaner. Leave the band as is and let it develop the patina naturally. The band will develop small blemishes. This is part of the patina so don't worry.Sorry if this has been covered... I just bought a 42mm Hermes with the saddle brown deployment. I am already worried about it getting scuffed or wet. Does anyone recommend a good treatment or cleaner for the saddle brown color? I don't want to darken the strap if possible. I can already see a small blemish on the band, not sure if that was there when it came or not.
Fauve Barenia is one of the most fragile leathers by Hermes. If you are worried about patina or marks or darkening this is not the leather for you. On the other hand Epsom is one of the toughest and there are so few choices of Epsom on the Apple Watch. One of the documents that are included with your Hermes watch states not to use any sort of leather lotion or cleaner. Do be careful though when washing your hands. Slashing even a small drop of water can alter the band immediately. (please do wash your hands though )

I gave up right after I got mine and just wet it. I dried it out and it was really soft still. Made me feel better. LOL. It's got an even tone to it, but it's darkened over time. Ah well... I got it to wear it.
One thing I'll warn against is oil. Any sort of oil will be soaked right up by this band. I learned that the hard way when I was icing some cinnamon rolls and got cream cheese frosting on my watch band. Was a tiny dot of it, but the butter from the frosting left a big blot. I had to use a drop of dish liquid and water and just keep blotting over and over until I got it all out.
Whew. I take it off when I bake now.

I SO want an Epsom band for the 42MM. Why do we not have the red option? I don't want orange or yellow. I want RED.
Feu is orange. Very orange.
It is definitely orange and it can look reddish in certain light. I have one so I know.Oh, looks red on that link, to me anyway. lol

Forgive my ignorance here: Are Barenia, Swift and Epsom different types of leather? Or are they simply treated differently with different textures or what have you? I recently purchased and returned the Bleu - which I believe is Epsom (??) - because the texture was too...textured for me and the leather seemed far less soft than the Hermes band that came with my Watch.
It does, that's why I was surprised when I saw it in person because I didn't know there was an orange one I just fell in love with the color so had to buy it.Is it me, or does it look red on the site? Completely believe you guys as I remember seeing orange bands at the Hermès store and they were REALLY orange, but don't look as vivid on the site.
Taking your advice and just letting it develop naturally. I am loving this band, so keeping it as is...One of the documents that are included with your Hermes watch states not to use any sort of leather lotion or cleaner. Which one you gonna get?So after deciding I was going to skip series 2 I've decided I'm going to go tomorrow and pick up a Hermès Single Tour......it's like Christmas Eve right now

I'm betting on a fauve, 42MM.
