Arghhhh....so tempted to try the Hermes watch. AW6 aluminum gold is my first ever AW. I love the warm pink glow, but Hermes is Hermes, the entire look is much more premium.

These 2 are my favorites.

Does anyone know, why some of the hermes bands have this bigger lug on one side? Does that bring any advantages? Or is it just a design thing?

Looks a bit weird to me, at least on standalone pictures.

It’s just another variation of their bands and a design choice. Doesn’t do anything different.

I have this same concern. But I think it’s because the space black isn’t listed on the spec sheets. It’s not mentioned on the Hermes website either. I’m keeping hope that the space black watch would have a space black coating. I think the coating itself is space black.
Could be based on marketing to Hermes customers that presumes that they’re not that interested in tech specs, that having “DLC” takes away from the imagery they’re trying to create. Most people have to read up on DLC to even know what it is and how good it is.

Anyone notice that they seemed to have disabled in-store pickup on all of the new bands? Is this normal immediately prior to the launch? They were there last night in multiple locations in NYC and it seems unlikely that they all sold out during the night.

Are these available in Watch OS8 to all Hermès owners? I ask because the Circuit H band description says a “matching Circuit H watch face is available for download” and was not sure if that was the case only with the purchase of the band or across the board for all owners.
That's interesting that they are offering a downloadable Hermès face with just a band purchase, though it appears to be limited to the Circuit H bands. There has always been a $211 "premium" for the Apple Watch Hermès vs. buying the basic stainless steel model plus the band.

I'm pretty sure it is only available on Hermes watches/serial numbers

This is from the order page for the Circuit H band itself (not the Watch). It appears only on the order pages for the Circuit H bands, not any other Hermes band.

Interesting that it does not have a disclaimer as I can see it is potentially just available to Hermes watch owners, but may lead to some confusion to those who do not have an Hermes watch and think they can purchase the band and then access the matching watch face (unless it is possible).

I'm guessing it is only for the Circuit H watch face and not the other Hermes watch faces. Perhaps it works by entering in the serial number for a non-Hermes Watch and entering a redemption code.

Just checked my order on Hermes.com and it says "pending supply." Doesn't exactly bode well, though I guess I won't know until I know. This is for the AW7 SS 45 Lime/Kraft.

Hi guys. Is the Hermes selection changing over the year or is it the same until the next series comes around?

Just checked on my Hermes order, SS 41 Lime leather - had been "pending supply" since I ordered on 10/8, now says "in preparation." Would imagine yours will shift soon!

It depends. Sometimes Hermes releases new bands mid-year (the nylon bands were released this Spring). Apart from Fauve Barenia, colors come and go.

I have a feeling they’re replacing Fauve Barenia with the gold swift? They’re too similar to keep both?
Then the Gourmette (currently the most expensive Apple Watch band) would have been in gold, not Fauve Baurenia.

Hi there!
I am a lover of the steel version, and all my models have alternated between graphite and silver. This year I'm considering a Hermes, but I don't see the benefits clear.

That's why I'm turning to the enthusiasts of this version...

Could anyone tell me what makes you fall in love with this edition? In terms of bands, the Jumping is the most sporty and modern one, so that would be my option (not sure about colors yet, I guess until tomorrow its a mistery). No idea about how many different faces it has: 2?
Extra watch faces and an extra year of warranty (believe that is also true for Edition models), so with AC+ you get 3 years... to be fair a lot of people in this thread upgrade yearly, which shouldn't be a surprise as they are the 'luxury' version.

Also, if you do upgrade a lot of people sell the exclusive Hermes orange sport bands and/or leather bands which, unlike the actual Watches, which have HORRIBLE resale value other than the cheapo ones, can command pretty good resale, so you can in theory upgrade every year for a few hundred.

It looks like fauve is only sticking around as a deployant option and im guessing they chose barenia for the gourmette for functional reasons…it’s the waterproof horse saddle one and maybe swift just isn’t up to the task at all with all those twists and what have you. The cuff never expanded beyond barenia but the double cuff did.

I’m sad the very short-lived days of Apple promoting the Hermes at all are over, would have loved to see a luxe life influencer unbox that gourm‘y today! But I guess the line is ”if you know you know” situation and maybe they’re discreet/ashamed of the price points in the larger story of the watch.

I mean... you're not wrong. I can count in the single digits the Edition and Hermes models I've seen in the wild, including my own. Even the SS and Cellular Alu models I rarely see. I'd bet if Apple disclosed sales by model number something north of 90% would be S3 + SE + cheapest new version.

Even when I bought my original SS watch back in June 2015 I didn't see another non-Sport model for months...
