As a first time buyer of a Hermes apple watch (and a first time buyer of AW since the original) these are a nice couple of perks that I didn't know about! I suppose somewhat understandable as it is an expensive item when you consider it is the same tech as the basic aluminium version. That being said I'm excited to try AW again and this time treat it as a more all round watch.
Yes. It’s really the leather bands that set Hermes so far apart from the regular Apple Watch models. The exclusive watch faces that coordinate with the bands are also really nice. You are correct in the fact that it is technically the same watch it’s just the exclusivity of those faces and the branding partnership with Hermes and like I said the leather bands that just really put this watch into a luxury category that no other “tech” watch out there has.
As someone who worked retail, I always appreciate sundays and even saturdays off.
Well it's Tuesday and a long time SS owner (S0-S5) is getting rather excited about his S7 Hermes Apple watch arriving on Friday 
My 41 SS Lime is showing "pending supply" on the Hermes site - anyone else in this boat? Hoping to at least get it by next week.
My band says in preparation. I ordered the noir/electrique from Hermes.
I did it too. I bought the other two Circuit bands. Had to buy the Noir/Eletricque from Hermes as Apple is out of stock. First time I have even done this, bought all the bands, but I really just like the colors and the prints.
So according to the specs only the Ti space black has a DLC coating.. No mention of the Hermes space black having a DLC coating.

There has never been and will never be a Space Black Apple Watch without DLC.So according to the specs only the Ti space black has a DLC coating.. No mention of the Hermes space black having a DLC coating.

That's interesting since they made such a big deal about DLC when they first released Space Black. It's also odd that they are selling Space Black watches with bands with silver lugs and buckles.So according to the specs only the Ti space black has a DLC coating.. Yeah it’s just be curious that they mention that the Ti space Black has DLC but not the Hermes
Apple’s tech specs and descriptions are always all over the place on the issue of DLC each year when a new series is launched. I don’t know why they can’t get their marketing materials more in order ahead of time. This year has been especially bad since the S7 didn’t have any tech specs at all until about 25 seconds before it went on sale. But the black/graphite watches have had DLC coatings every single year since the AW was first launched and there is no reason to expect it will be different this year.
But hey, large wristed Titanium purchasers get a nice sport band surprise!

I have this same concern. But I think it’s because the space black isn’t listed on the spec sheets. It’s not mentioned on the Hermes website either. I’m keeping hope that the space black watch would have a space black coating. I think the coating itself is space black.
Ordered a SS 41mm with the Bleu Lin strap from Apple and from Hermès. The Apple one isn’t slated to ship until November, so I instead placed the order with Hermès (who says shipping on October 15th). Order still says “pending validation” though…
Apple Card charge was pending since Friday and right now it has just got officially included in my outstanding balance. Still no email from apple saying it shipped but it’s already on its way to Alaska.
Are these available in Watch OS8 to all Hermès owners? I ask because the Circuit H band description says a “matching Circuit H watch face is available for download” and was not sure if that was the case only with the purchase of the band or across the board for all owners.
It should be. No one has the S7 Hermes yet but the pic @athousandbands posted is an older series and it has that watch face.
I have that watch face on my Hermes series 6 When I upgraded my watch to iOS 8
