I do have a black Hermès, therefore my jumping options are limited. I’d love the orange/blue one, but black/blue is really fantastic.

Still thinking about switching the links and wear other ones as well.

Let’s see, what March is going to bring forward, especially for SBSS.

Orange! I love how the colors pop against the space black.

Just an FYI I had to return my leather bad after one month. It started to fray. I ended up getting the nylon one. She told me that many of them fray after awhile in the corners of the leather band.

Apologies, I don’t own one of these yet but I’m curious - I want to wear this as a daily wear nice watch but I also want to run with it since a main reason I’m upgrading to a cellular capable watch is so I can listen to any podcasts and music without having to run with my phone too.

I know it comes with an orange sport band - is it reasonable to change a leather band out to the sport band every time I run? Is it even a good idea to run with and sweat all over this watch? I have a series 3 base watch that always has the sport band on and sweating all over the back of it doesn’t seem to cause any issues.
I use none of my Hermes bands. ? I wear braided solo loops with my Hermes watch.

Looks like a mint noir medor for all my double tour 41mm friends…medor are kind of rare right?

Oops. Pulled the trigger tonight. In store pick up Thursday.

Been interested since S0 Hermes announcement and tried one on quickly on Michigan Ave in Chicago in 2016 (old location). Might have touched a deployment band on a display in town, but confirmed zero locations in Calgary to see a watch or bands in person (at least not Chinook and not the Hermes 30'x30' store in a store in Holt Renfrew) since people here talk so much about differences compared to photos etc. (I don't know if there's any real way of confirming which stores carry these watches or bands. Kind of poked the online store to see Michigan ave location had next day in store pickup available, but I'm still 1000-2000 miles away from any location to see them in person....)

I figured I'd jump in now before spring announcements in case some changes happen - fauve deployment on the way which did disappear once before for S6 launch iirc. And I'm rocking an iPhone SE1 and unknown if S8/iOS16 would support my phone besides whatever delays ordering S8 at launch compared to being able to get one now and use it until the fall. Tried an S3 for Apple's two weeks in 2018 and meh. Tried an S7 with most of Costco's 90 days and that did prove it was useful enough and also teach me important things like wear it looser than I was and that I sweat more than I notice so if I take care of both, I can dodge irritating my skin. I needed to take two weeks off at one point and I'll assume I could blame the sports band on some of that, so maybe leather might be better there anyway.

But combine a refund of the Al GPS S7 and a tax refund and the watch ends up being a difference of $1k with applecare. sure still 3x total cost to what I had, but I can check this off whatever list it's been on for years. I should be safe enough from having to buy another since I might count it as a once in a lifetime thing, but I've seen enough horror stories of people sinking deeper into bands etc :p But of course that's 3.5 years out for S11? :p Or whenever - I've kept my iPhone for six years :p I will be curious to see how I feel after that amount of time though too - if all my reasoning behind this was on point and if it provided value to me beyond the cost.

I can’t imagine watchlife without the Hermes faces. Get excited!!

New to the Hermes cycle as of Series 7 -- does Hermes update watch straps when Apple usually does (i.e., if Apple releases new spring/summer bands March 8th, will new Hermes bands be available then too)?

I hope so, we need more SB bands!

Guess if March 8th Apple event will be new Hermes spring bands? It would be one of the earliest spring releases ever. A quick search shows previous spring releases were between March 23rd- April 20th.

New iPhone cases leaked and those usually coincide with watch bands. Maybe this will be the earliest year ever.

We are owed after the first non-solstice release last year. But also leaving room for the possibility that they just drop the phone cases without the bands.

But if the whole idea was to save the bands for the attention of the larger event last spring, they should arrive on Tuesday.

I’d love to see them bring back Capucine, Rose Sakura, Bleu du Nord, and add Jaune de Naples. And would be fun to see Feu or Bleu Agate as non-Epsom.

Arrived to the Apple Store a day early so picked it up. I didn't expect an orange bag too :p Cause yeah I thought Apple did a good enough job about packaging, but the theme everywhere is pretty potent :p But yeah the strap is way darker than I had thought. I mean I guess the photos kind of end up showing more of the interior leather than the exterior.. Everything about it is more subtle than six years of build up in my head :p Freaked out because my AlS7 backup wasn't there to restore from, but I had to update first since out of box was 8.3. So used to looking at Starlight tbh too. The orange sports band seems ok, but jarring when I think compared to the starlight case + band :p I forgot about cellular being a thing which isn't supported on my carrier anyway, but it still shows up in the UIs :p But yeah so far so good. Feelings are weird though since there's a range, but hopefully it settles around the good end of the spectrum :p
