Hi everyone - longtime lurker, first time poster on this thread.

A few months ago I was in NYC and picked up the Hermes AW with the Etoupe Single Tour, and even though it has only been worn a handful of times, you can already see where the color of the Swift leather is wearing off/getting dirty around the insert of the long strap and the keepers on the short strap.

Is this normal for Swift, or is this something worth talking to Hermes about? Was thinking about picking up a few other leather straps, but if this is how delicate they are, not sure if it is worth it.

Here's my "tip"! I can see it also on the double tour (3rd hole), but tbh it's not the tip that bothers me that muck (it's kind of cute in some ways) but I'd be bothered if I can't make the band snug enough even on the first hole (on the Single Tour). I guess the only way to find out is to try it on.

Lovely band. Love the color combo!

Attelage Double Tour is really comfortable because the band is thinner in width. It is also very malleable from day one. I think you will love it.

I just got another DT in Gold. Will do reveal photos soon. :p

Unfortunately, this type of wear is very typical of the single tours.

I have mixed feelings about the widht, at first sight it doesn't look right, like you have a 38 mm band on a 41 mm watch or something like that. Maybe I just have to get used to it.
Surely on small wrists like yours it looks so delicate, you wear it beautifully. I hope to see more picture like this soon :)

I'm not sure I am looking at the right thing, are you referring to the paint/glue that is the darker color along the edges? IMO, that is normal "wear and tear". Even though it was not Hermes, I had the California Poppy magsafe wallet and the edges were destroyed by constant use, humidity, etc. That this is located on the underside is not surprising to me either, especially if that is rubbing against clothing, a desk, est. That said, you may be able to bring it to Hermes for repair--it cannot hurt to get their opinion. They may be able to replace it, or scrape off what is "bleeding" and reapply what it is they use to coat the edges.

Has anyone used the jumping single tour swimming or anything? How waterproof is this and will it damage it over time?

I thought I remember seeing an article talking about what makes Attelage special? Maybe I’m wrong though. Would appreciate it if anyone remembers what I’m talking about to share a link.

Wow. Love the Gold Attelage DT. The sun isn't very bright today, so I cannot capture the richness of this Gold color.
I LOVE it. ??? Have a feeling I will be wearing this band very frequently.

It is a super nice neutral! I like it better than Fauve.

I'm officially on ban island for AW accessories for at least one year!

Come on, who are you trying to kid? ?

It seems like what is happening is that on those parts, the colored layer of the band is rubbing off around the edges, allowing the darker under layer to come through, which gives it a certain “dirty” appearance.

Hello everyone - I was hoping to get my dad a used Series 6 from someone locally, since he really loves the traditional look of leather. Is it possible for Hermes to "restore" worn leather to some extent? Here is what the band currently looks like:

Hi

New to this forum. I moved from a SS S7 to my first Hermes (SB). Received it yesterday. Got it with the single tour noir leather band and the noir/grey jumping band.

Does the jumping band loosen over time?

This morning, with the jumping band on, I could not get the Watch off my wrist. The prong got stuck in the hole and the band was slippery. Am I wearing it to tight?

I do a daily 25 minutes on the stationary bike. Low resistance. Hardly any sweat. Which band is best for that light exercise? The leather? Jumping? or the Sport?

This is the first time I am using a band with a buckle. Not so easy for me. Are there bands with fold over clasps that might be easier to manage? With my previous SS Apple Watch, I used a ML or leather link or sport loop.

Thanks in advance.

There's a signiicant jump in cost going from the SS to the Hermes (almost double for the double tour). Is that jump up really for the double tour band? Can I just buy a SS and the DT band separately for less?

I think the issue with the jumping band is that it is, by itself, extremely sturdy. I "struggle" (slightly) sometimes getting the end through the support loops once the prong is through, and also getting it out. I think that coupled with the nylon and hardly any sweat is going to make it more slippery/difficult.

I would not wear any of the leather bands for working out. Even the slightest moisture is going to damage the leather--if not immediately, over time.

I generally switch to my sport band when riding, but I tend to sweat, so then I shower with it afterward to clean the watch and myself.

The Jumping will definitely soften over time. Going from my slightly used 44mm Jumpers to a brand new 41mm (my first smaller one), I had the same harrowing experience with the band being so stiff it wouldn’t let me unbuckle it without a lot of force. Perhaps the higher ratio of stiff edge to plush middle is to blame. OP, what size is yours?

The Jumping is fine for sweating/swimming. I feel like we still haven’t seen a permanently damaged one. Nylon seems eminently washable. Someone on here needs to buy a soiled one and try to clean it lol. I wonder how comfortable steel lugs and buckle are for working out though.

@athousandbands. Mine is 45mm. Can I shower with the Jumping band?

@Mr. Y thanks.

Just some good quality leather cleaner might improve this. I actually think it looks pretty cool!
