Hello everyone - I was hoping to get my dad a used Series 6 from someone locally, since he really loves the traditional look of leather. Is it possible for Hermes to "restore" worn leather to some extent? Here is what the band currently looks like:

Call your local Hermes store and see if they will take care of it. Maybe they will do a leather conditioning to even out the color. Let us know.

It is beautiful as is. I would add a sport band (any color your dad likes) so he can be flexible with his AW in the summer months. It's a great gift!

New to Hermes.

Which Hermes Band will work best when the hot and humid SUMMER weather arrives in NYC. I currently have the Noir single tour leather band and the jumping band. Would the jumping band be better than leather for the summer? If so, should I consider a second jumping band to switch off? What might other options be? I don’t do well with silicone because of wrist rashes. Thanks.

There is also talk that they’ve gotten stiffer. Maybe just this spring, maybe in fall 2021. I haven’t grabbed a 45mm/s7 yet to compare.

Huh? I thought there was talk that the spring 2022 Jumping bands are actually a little less stiff than earlier ones? Which is also my personal impression btw.

Just Ordered the Blue Linn/Vert Jumping band. I wanted a second jumping band to change off in the summer. I don’t like that it has silver hardware, b/c I have the SB Watch. Some options from Apple are either sold out or delivery unavailable. Do these go quickly?

Thanks.

My experience with the new Bleu Lin/Vert Veronase (SS22) was that it was more pliable than the Lime/Kraft (FW21) and Rouge de Cœur/Rouge H.

Does Hermes have its own stainless steel band for the Apple Watch? If not, are their alternatives to the Apple Space Black link bracelet? Thanks.

Sold out means no inventory. No need to wait.
Unavailable means restocking possible in near future. Just don't know when. You have to stalk this piece.

That's what I got from Apple support.

If you cannot find a particular band on Apple Store, you might have better luck at online Hermes Store. Cheers.

How do I clean the Jumping band? Are there any specific instructions?
I've had to clean my Lime/Kraft when it developed some smudges under the clasp. I used a clean, soft toothbrush and water with a drop of dish liquid (brushing gently along the grain), then rinsed with water and dried the metal parts with a microfiber cloth and let dry on a window ledge before wearing.

Day four with my first Hermes AW. Love it.

I am starting out with two leather single tour and two jumping bands. Is that a good number of bands to be able to alternate for daily use?

I might eventually do a deployment band, but not sure I can manage the clasp given my hand coordination. I could not do the Apple link bracelet.

I find that I am between holes. Am I better off slightly tighter or slightly looser? Should I be able to get my finger under the band? Thanks.

Will the buckle get easier to manage on the Hermes bands? I find that I can do it only if I place the top of my wrist on a flat surface, and then fasten the band from the underside of my wrist, with my wrist resting on the sensors. It’s getting better, but it is an adjustment, coming from loop type bands.

Because of my hand coordination, I find the buckles on the Hermes bands, both Jumpung and Leather, not the easiest to manage.

I am aware of the Deployment band. but I also find that potentially difficult to manage.

Are there any great bands with simple fold-over metal clasps that might be easier?

Great metal bands for the Hermes Watch?
Honestly, the best one will always be the original Apple link bracelet - they knocked it out of the park with that design. It fits perfectly with the watch's design, the links fit very smoothly together, and it very durable in the long time. Plus the handy adjustment mechanism!

It's one that's worth getting new if you can afford it, but you can also find them gently used usually for a great deal off, plus the metal is easy to buff out or re-brush if there's any scratches that are too unsightly. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

Does anyone have both Fauve Barénia and Swift Gold in a pic to share? I’d like to see how different is the color. Thank you.

This is used Fauve Barenia. It is untreated leather and ages beautifully like a fine wine.

This is Hermes Gold color. It is treated leather color fasted. It will only show wear and tear, but you won't be able to "age" it into dark brown with regular use. This is more preferable amongst the younger generation.

I find that for my Hermes leather band and two jumping bands, I am between holes. Is the fit better to be slightly loose or slightly tight? This is the first time, since my first AW in 2019, that I am using a band with a traditional buckle, so this is new to me. Any suggestions regarding fit? Thanks.

I have found myself in a similar situation. When I go with the tighter notch, I sometimes worry that it is stretching the leather around the buckle, so I typically err on using the looser notch.

If you're using AW Blood Oxygen reader, Apple advises keeping the watch tight against the wrist for a more "accurate" reading.

All of that said, it really is a matter of preference.

@Mr. Y Thanks. It’s hard to put in words, but in the tighter setting I am more conscious of something wrapped around or digging in. Ever so slightly. With the Jumping band, it is also slightly harder to disengage the pin when I have to take the strap off.

How often should I clean the jumping band? I have two of them. Should I be alternating them?

Anyone wear their leather Hermes bands during the summer (NYC type) weather?
I just started with my Hermes AW series 7 so I haven’t had a chance. This will be my first summer with the bands. Yes I plan to wear my Hermes bands. It’s not like I sweat on my wrists so I think they will be okay.

Not worried about sun and humidity. More worried about rain. But I guess I will always have a sport band in my bag.
